Superintendent’s Message
John P. Kronour, PhD.
Congratulations to the Class of 2013. One hundred and ninety eight students
received their diplomas during a Sunday afternoon graduation ceremony. It was an
inspiring and energetic celebration of our students, parents, and faculty. As we bid
farewell to our graduates and wish them success on their journeys, it is also an
opportunity to acknowledge our fabulous teachers who were so instrumental in
helping our students reach this milestone. They encouraged, challenged, and
supported these students in their academic endeavors for thirteen years. They served
as mentors and role models. They nurtured talent and cultivated young minds. They
played a major role in shaping six year olds into outstanding young adults who are
destined to make a positive impact in our world. We can’t wait to see what our
graduates do next.
COMBINING ART AND MATH
In the above photo, sixth graders Michael Pfister and Kyle Mains
take a break from creating their tessellations. To the right, Megan
Reed and Hannah Gootzeit show off their chalk creation. Students studied pattern block shapes and how
they fit together to form tilings or tessellations. The unit culminated with students going outside to
decorate the sidewalks with their unique artwork. It was the most colorful walkway in Tipp City until the
rains washed away the creativity.
