L.T. Ball Career Days!
Some students want to be a chef, the Sheriff of the County, a race car racer, or a chiropractor or maybe they just don’t
know. L.T. Ball held a career day in an effort to introduce students to a variety of career options. Many professionals
were on hand to inspire students to follow their dreams!

L.T. Ball students found ways to make Math fun…by creating Math Games! Groups of students got together and made
games boards, instructions on how to play each game. Each game had to involve math of some kind.
The Final Pull Tab total is in!!
L.T. Ball students and staff collected a grand total of 88 pounds of pull tabs for the Ronald
McDonald House! Mrs. Green turned in the tabs along with her Parrot Head Club on
Dayton. The Dayton area turned in a combined total of 7,388 pounds of tabs—enough to
fill 1 ½ dumpsters! Keep saving pull tabs over the summer. Mrs. Green will be collecting
them again next year!
The winner of the Guess the Tabs in a Jar contest was Kyle Mains in Mrs. Whidden’s
Reminder to Parents of students who ride the bus: We will not be able to take any daycare/sitter changes for the
2011-2012 school year (involving busing) after August 10th. We will resume taking changes on September 5th. All
students are assigned back to their home addresses each school year for bus transportation. We don’t assume they
will be back at the same daycare/sitter from the previous year.
The first two weeks of a new school year are challenging enough for bus drivers without multiple changes for
students. Thank you!
Water Tower Construction - The city has started construction on the water tower and there are many trucks
utilizing Success Circle and the High School driveway. The gate has been opened for the driveway between the front
and back parking lots. The gate will remain open, at least during school hours. Drivers may want to count on this
gate access as an entrance to the back parking lot until further notice.
KIT-TV is now streaming the Board of Education Meetings and other Tipp City School activities on line. To view
