ANNOUNCEMENTS
PRAYER OF INVOCATION
The powers of earth may lock up the doors,
but the word of the Lord will not be fettered away.
Earthquakes will shake foundations
and chains will fall to the ground.
The powers of the earth may blind our eyes to truth,
but the word of the Lord will not be weakened.
The powers of the earth may stoke furnaces of fear,
but the word of the Lord will not be consumed.
The powers of the earth will release their lions,
but the word of the Lord will not be devoured.
The powers of the earth will erect a cross,
but the word of the Lord will not die.
The powers of the earth will attempt to bury the truth of God,
but no grave can hold love for long.
The word of the Lord will continue to fall like rain;
it will accomplish what is intended. Amen.
*THE LORD'S PRAYER (trespasses)
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on
earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we
forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever. Amen.
*GLORIA PATRI
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is
now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
Almighty God, in you we live and move and have our being,
And in your service, we may find
our perfect freedom. Amen.
