held it 44 years. He was surnamed the Terrific,<br />

fiom ihe peculiarly fierce expression <strong>of</strong> his<br />

countenance.<br />

On the death <strong>of</strong> Hoi, Husak became king,<br />

and swayed the sceptre 31 years.<br />

Ambak the<br />

second, his successor, held the sovereign power<br />

27 years.<br />

Kaypak, the next king, reigned 45 years, and<br />

<strong>by</strong> the splendour <strong>of</strong> his military<br />

achievements<br />

threw the whole <strong>of</strong> the actions <strong>of</strong> his predecessors<br />

completely in<strong>to</strong> the shade.<br />
