The emperor, on becoming acquainted with the<br />

moderate extent <strong>of</strong> their desires, immediatelydesisted<br />

<strong>from</strong> all attempts <strong>to</strong> molest them.<br />

The Greeks whom he had left in <strong>Armenia</strong>,<br />

however, were less <strong>to</strong>lerant.<br />
