Security protocol<br />
The security protocol contains events such as valid and invalid log-in attempts, as well as<br />
resource usage events, e.g. creation, opening or deletion of files.<br />
System protocol<br />
The system protocol contains events that are logged by the Windows system components,<br />
for example failed driver installations.<br />

The software that protocols the event is named as the source.<br />
It can be an application name or a system/program component,<br />
i.e. a driver name.<br />
Events are categorized according to source.<br />
The number which represents the respective event type. The<br />
first number of the description normally contains the event<br />
type name. The event ID and source assist service technicians<br />
in solving problems.<br />
Name of the user where the event occurred.<br />
Name of the computer where the event occurred.<br />
Update protocols<br />
To keep the event list under each protocol up-to-date, click on Refresh in the Toolbar.<br />
