Young Squash Player Excels

At the end of a very busy Term 2, 15 year old,
Trent Timms represented the North Coast in the
NSW Combined High Schools Squash
Championships held in Cardiff. During this
competition Trent was playing against Open boys
and performed extremely well in all his games
helping North Coast to finish third in the
competition. Trent, in fact, played so well he
was selected in the NSWCHS 15 year’s team to
travel to New Zealand later this year.
This is the third Bellingen High School student
this year to be selected to represent the state
in team and individual games. Jess Marks for
cricket, Jonty Neaves for AFL and now Trent
Timms for squash, with three other players narrowly missing out being named
as shadow reserves. These three were Jacob Williamson Leslie for football,
Shelby Mackenzie for football and Justin Alford for hockey. What a wealth
of sporting talent is sitting on the hill overlooking Bellingen, and
congratulations to Trent on this great achievement.
