CRK is designed as an internet-based application which can be accessed directly in real<br />
time by certified officers of lending institutions. Certified officers of lending institutions<br />
report to the CRK the relevant data on granted loans and update the data on regular basis<br />
until the granted loans are refunded. The number of new generated certificates and the<br />
number of new loans reported to CRK are presented on monthly basis in the figure above.<br />
On the other hand, the CRK serves to the certified officers of lending institutions to search<br />
credit information in order to evaluate loan applications and follow the borrowers’<br />
situation. Natural persons and businesses as individual barrowers are the subjects of<br />
information to CRK. If deemed necessary, i.e. for the verification of disputable records, each<br />
individual barrower can receive from CBK his own credit information recorded in CRK. In<br />
the figures above are presented on monthly basis the number of searches conducted by the<br />
certified officers of lending institutions and the number of detailed reports generated and<br />
distributed based on the individual barrowers’ requests.<br />
As to new developments during <strong>2010</strong>, it is worth emphasizing the engagement in the<br />
USAID three-year program on development of business environment in Kosovo, which also<br />
includes advancing the credit information.<br />

Advancing will include implementation of changes in CRK and in functions of different<br />
relevant CBK departments. In order to facilitate the foreseen activities, CBK established a<br />
joint working group with USAID experts.<br />
