Olympic captain Dai Greene who has epilepsy is supporting the awards Nominations wanted for epilepsy charity awards Report by Stephanie O’Connor A CHARITY that supports young people with epilepsy is seeking nominations from West Lancashire for its first ever Champions Awards 2013. Young Epilepsy is launching the awards to recognise the contribution made by individuals and organisations towards improving the lives of young people living with the condition. Anyone can nominate an Epilepsy Champion and the charity is encouraging the people of West Lancashire to take part. The 2012 Olympic captain of the Great Britain Athletics Team, Dai Greene, who has epilepsy and is backing the awards, said: “Young Epilepsy Champions Awards will recognise the outstanding contribution that many individuals and organisations from the North West make towards improving the lives of young people living with epilepsy. “Epilepsy can have far reaching consequences, not just for the young person that has it, but also their families and carers. Everyone living with epilepsy is supported by at least one Epilepsy Champion; it may be a family member, a nurse, a doctor, a teacher or a business and they deserve our recognition and thanks.” Nominating someone for a Young Epilepsy Champion Award can be done online at youngepilepsy.org.uk/champions–awards CHRISTMAS SELECTION PACK for only £29.95 6 Meals with vegetables: Honey Roast Turkey Breast Gammon in Cranberry & Orange Sauce Roast Chicken in Red Wine & Mushroom Sauce Chicken Kiev Roast Pork with Cranberry & Nut Stuffing Duck in Orange Sauce 4 Desserts: Mincemeat & Apple Crumble Luxury Christmas Pudding Sherry Trifle Brandy in Clotted Cream Ice Cream *While stocks last FREE Tea Towel worth £2.95* Christmas is a time for putting your feet up, so leave mealtimes to Wiltshire Farm Foods.
