‘We’re cross country champions!’
A GROUP of girls from Halsall St Cuthbert’s
CE Primary School are West Lancashire
Cross Country champions.
At the end of October, schools across West
Lancashire took part in a composite relay,
where children work as a team to run a cross
country course, and Halsall St Cuthbert’s
won the whole event.
Eleanor Crane, year 4/5 class teacher and
PE co–ordinator at Halsall St Cuthbert’s said
children of the small school trained really
hard for this event.
Burglars take Rolex in
Aughton jewellery raid
THOUSANDS of pounds worth of jewellery
was taken from a home in Aughton during a
burglary.
Lancashire Constabulary said that raiders
smashed their way through the upstairs
balcony door of a home on Butchers Lane at
around 8.15pm on Saturday night (November
3), and searched the bedrooms of the property.
The burglars took a gold Rolex watch with a
diamond encrusted face, worth £5,000, a
yellow gold ring encrusted with four
diamonds, worth £2,000, and £600 in cash.
They also took an Apple iPad tablet, worth
£250.
