4. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE REPORTS<br />
This report will include a brief summary of the exec members reports. The Chairman’s report will be on the web site and in the VL. Others<br />
will be available electronically by written request to the secretary.<br />
CHAIRMAN DON PARRY<br />
Don's review of 2011 is attached and will be published on the web site.<br />
SECRETARY PETER WILSON<br />
Peter reported that he was continuing with the job.<br />
TREASURER IAN BOOTH<br />
The treasurer reported on the published accounts for the year ended 31st October 2010. (Copies were made available to those attending).<br />
The accounts showed a surplus of income over expenditure of £6.8k compared to the 2009 accounts.<br />
Total income decreased by £2.6k, however, expenditure decreased by £9.7k.<br />
Major factors were:<br />
1) Membership income decreased by £1.1k due to the effect of free memberships.<br />
2) Sundry income down by £1.7k due to no annual dinner.<br />
3) 2009 included expenditure on the annual dinner of £5k. None in 2010.<br />
4) One <strong>Veteran</strong> <strong>Leaguer</strong> was not published in 2010 saving approx £3.8k<br />
Any members requiring further detail can request the full management accounts from the treasurer by email.”<br />
REGISTRAR MIKE CROSS<br />
Mike reported that the <strong>LVRC</strong> now has 2138 members of which 1368 joined on line and 770 by post.<br />
RACE CO-ORDINATOR BARRIE MITCHELL<br />
Barrie reported that his work does not start until later in the year but that we already have some events planned for 2012. They are<br />
DEFG R/R Champs 17th June Henley on Thames.<br />
DEFG Criterium Championships Rockingham Raceway date to be confirmed<br />
ABC Criterium Championships Rhyl - to be confirmed.<br />
The Handicap Championship is open to offers likewise the Time Trial Championships which were once again a great success Mick and<br />
Barry will continue with the promotion if there are no other takers.<br />
Mike Amery does not wish to continue as promoter of the Track Championships but he promised to give any new who comes forward<br />
promoter all the help needed.<br />
There are to be three Cyclo Cross events in November including the <strong>LVRC</strong> Championships.<br />
PERCY STALLARD CO-ORDINATOR MICK IVES<br />
Mick reported that this years “Stallards “ were well supported and is looking for new promoters for the 9 events around the UK. Mick<br />
reported some frustration that not all organisers were following the guidelines requested. Mick said that following the successful<br />
experience of hiring the BC timing and finish equipment for the Huntingdon event we should consider a similar arrangement for other<br />
events in 2012. We are considering a simple lunch after the 2012 final event to present the overall winners and show some appreciation<br />
to the sponsors.<br />
MAGAZINE EDITOR ANDY BARRETT<br />
Absent.<br />
QUARTERMASTER PRO TEM WAYNE THOMAS<br />
Wayne reported that the <strong>LVRC</strong> stock of Medals and Jerseys was depleted and needed renewing. He has been authorized to replenish<br />
stocks at a total cost of about £3500.00<br />
WEBMASTER JIM GOLDEN<br />
Jim reported that the website was proving a great success but he could do with some more race reports and possibly pictures to go<br />
with the results<br />
PRESS SECRETARY MICK IVES<br />
Mick reported that not everyone was sending him race reports and could they copy him with the results that they send to the website.<br />
Mick expressed his great appreciation for the work that Don Parry put in on behalf of the <strong>LVRC</strong> a statement which the whole meeting<br />
endorsed.<br />
Election of officials<br />
The committee all agreed to stand for re-election with the exception of Steve Watson who has emigrated. Wayne Thomas was proposed<br />
in his place as there were no other nominations the committee was re-elected en bloc.<br />
Proposals<br />
1. By the executive committee that the annual membership be increased to £20.00 per annum to pay for the increased insurance<br />
premiums Motion carried unanimously.<br />
