Development, at all stages of the preparatory process. States were invited to finance<br />
the contribution and participation of major groups of developing countries at all<br />
stages of the preparatory process and at the Conference itself.<br />
(e) Requested the secretariat to seek information, inputs and contributions,<br />
including through a questionnaire addressed to Member States, the United Nations<br />
system, international financial institutions, major groups and other stakeholders, on<br />
their experiences, including success factors, challenges and risks with respect to the<br />
objective and themes of the Conference. The deadline for submitting inputs would<br />
be 31 October 2010.<br />
(f) Requested the secretariat, with the guidance of the Bureau, to prepare a<br />
synthesis of the information and contributions collected in accordance with<br />
paragraph 5 above.<br />
(g) Called upon the secretariat to continue utilizing the website of the United<br />
Nations Conference on Sustainable Development as a powerful tool for gathering<br />
and sharing information, and building on the experiences gained through that<br />
website.<br />
(h) Called upon the secretariat and relevant United Nations organizations, in<br />
consultation with the Bureau, to organize within existing resources, open-ended<br />
informal intersessional meetings for a total duration of not more than six days,<br />
including one two-day meeting, to be held between the release of the synthesis<br />
requested above and the second session of the Preparatory Committee, and two<br />
two-day meetings between the second and third sessions of the Preparatory<br />
Committee, the final intersessional meeting taking place no later than eight weeks<br />
prior to the third session of the Preparatory Committee. The objective of these<br />
meetings would be to hold focused, substantive discussions to advance the subject<br />
matter of the Conference.<br />
