The Koller Forsttechnik Company goes back to the year
of 1961 when it was founded by Josef Koller. Coming
from an agricultural background and being familiar with
the problems of hauling timber in the mountainous Tyrolean
region, he developed innovative solutions for logging.
Since the beginning of 2005, the company has been
owned by Andreas Zaglacher.
Koller Forsttechnik has grown in size with numerous product
line developments and patents. Presently, there are
about 40 employees, most of which have a long history
with the company. These employees bring experience
and enthusiasm to their work every day. Koller Forsttechnik
performs its own fabrication and assembly, assuring
that equipment meets the high quality standards that are
characteristic of their products.
Koller Forsttechnik’s ability to produce high quality yarders
and their corresponding carriages is a result of 50
years of experience and knowledge. The product line
ranges from small equipment used for young tree thinning,
to larger equipment used for the commercial harvesting
of mature trees. Especially noteworthy is that Koller
Forsttechnik is a full-range supplier, both manufacturing
yarders with various drive systems and mounting them on
different carriers.
Koller Forsttechnick’s philosophy and core values
can be summarized in the following way:
To produce high quality cable logging systems which
maintain their value, and are built to the latest technological
specifications. This is achieved through
in-house development, manufacturing, and assembly.
For any parts provided by suppliers, only the highest
quality parts are acceptable. The quality of products
will never be compromised.
The worldwide use of Koller Forsttechnik’s equipment is
a clear indicator that speaks to their products’ reputation.
Koller Forsttechnik has developed long-term partnerships
with their customers, who having been satisfied with their
