same time? Explain with appropriate reasons.

code domain.

a) Compare the advantages and idea between SDMA, TDMA,
FDMA and CDMA.
b) A diversity scheme refers to a method for improving the reliability
of a message signal by utilizing two or more communication
channels with different characteristics. Diversity plays an
important role in combating fading and co­channel interference
and avoiding error bursts. It is based on the fact that individual
channels experience different levels of fading and interference.
How can it be used to combat multipath?
c) Explain the role or usefulness of reflected and diffracted radio
signals in a cellular system? Explain with suitable examples.

a) Third generation (3G) system provides services such as
enhanced multimedia and allows a bandwidth of up to 2 Mbps.

b) There are several ways to improved handoff strategies to make it

telecommunication engineer, what strategies would you propose
to your company to improve their handoff technology.
c) What causes the intersymbol interference and how can you
reduce the intersymbol interference in the wireless
communication system?
