A yEAR IN NUmbERS<br />
British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) is the national<br />
governing body for higher education sport in the UK.<br />
Its vision is to enhance the student experience in three ways:<br />

Founded in June <strong>2008</strong>, in its first year it set out its key activities as:<br />
• Get more people to play sport and partake in physical activity<br />
• Improve the quality of experience for students and staff involved in sport<br />
• Create a sustainable future for sport at university<br />
• Maximise the potential of the membership and support professional<br />
career pathways<br />
• Deliver world-class athletes and infrastructures<br />
• Provide a national, respected voice for members to<br />
