milyar metreküplük gaz hem artan enerji<br />
talebini karşılayacak hem de enerji ithalat<br />
maliyetlerini düşürecek. OECD ülkeleri<br />
arasında enerji talebi en hızlı artan ülke<br />
olma özelliği taşıyan Türkiye, son 10 yılda<br />
Çin’den sonra doğal gaz talep artışı en yüksek<br />
olan ülke konumunda. Gaz ihtiyacının<br />
%98’ini ithalat ile karşılıyor. Ekonomik<br />
büyüme hızına paralel olarak enerji ihtiyacı<br />
da artan Türkiye için TANAP, hem vergi ve<br />
tarife geliri sağlayarak hem de enerji ithalat<br />
maliyetini düşürerek her yıl toplam 3 milyar<br />
dolardan fazla ekonomik katkı sağlayacak.<br />
Türkiye’nin en ucuz doğal gazı<br />
Azerbaycan’dan alıyor olması da hesaba<br />
katıldığında TANAP’ın ülke ekonomisine<br />
birden farklı yolla katkı sağladığı ortaya<br />
çıkıyor. Enerji Bakanı Yıldız da Azerbaycan<br />
gazının ülkeye daha uygun fiyatla girdiğini<br />
söylüyor ve ekliyor: “TANAP yeni bir proje<br />
olmasına rağmen bu gerçek değişmemiştir.”<br />
Trans Atlantik Doğal Gaz Boru Hattı kullanıma<br />
açıldığında Türkiye’nin diğer tedarikçilerine<br />
karşı pazarlık gücünün de artması<br />
bekleniyor. Tüm bunların yanı sıra<br />
Türkiye, TANAP boru hattından geçen her<br />
1000 metreküp doğal gaz için 5,95 dolarlık<br />
tarife geliri elde edecek. Sektörel bazda da<br />
etkileri olan projenin en önemli katkısı<br />
demir-çelik sektöründe görülecek. Boru<br />
hattının yapımında toplam 1 milyon 280 bin<br />
ton çelik boru kullanılacak; bunun %80’i<br />
yerli firmalar tarafından üretilecek. Bu da<br />
Türkiye’de demir-çelik sektörünün canlanonly<br />

import prices. Turkey has the fastest<br />
increasing energy demand among OECD<br />
countries. Within the last decade, it has<br />
the second highest rate of increase in natural<br />
gas demand after China. The country<br />
imports 98% of its gas demand. In parallel<br />
to its economic growth rate, Turkey’s energy<br />
demand is increasing. In this regard,<br />
TANAP will not only bring tax and tariff<br />
income but also decrease the energy<br />
import costs, which will make an economic<br />
contribution of more than 3 billion dollars<br />
a year. Considering the fact that Turkey<br />
buys the cheapest gas from Azerbaijan,<br />
TANAP stands out as a highly beneficial<br />
project for Turkish economy. Energy<br />
Minister Yıldız states that Azerbaijani gas<br />
is cheaper and adds: “This fact remains<br />
the same with TANAP”. It is estimated<br />
that Turkey’s competitive power against<br />
other suppliers will increase when TANAP<br />
becomes operational. In addition, Turkey<br />
will receive USD 5.95 tariff income per<br />
thousand cubic meters of gas running<br />
through the TANAP pipeline. The project<br />
will also have sectoral impacts, particularly<br />
in the iron-steel sector. For the construction<br />
of the pipeline, 1 million 280<br />
thousand tons of steel pipes will be used in<br />
total. 80% of this amount will be produced<br />
by local companies, which will boost the<br />
iron-steel sector in Turkey. Ahmet Erciyas,<br />
