“How would you describe yourself as
a photographer?
I take pictures of passion and beauty
of human nature shown by human
body, emotions and fashion. Fashion
in my works describes an attitude to
surrounding world. Woman’s beauty,
love, lust and art influence my attitude
to my work and my art.
I try to reach wide range of viewers
simultaneously trying to create interesting
and appealing pictures. Idea
to make my pictures interesting but
straight forward pushes me often to
shoot in commercial style, visually appealing
but still interesting if made well.

I would like to reach people used to watch
art everyday but also more common audience.”
Is there a photographer who has been a
particular influence for you?
I can’t say that I have any idol but definitively
some photographers have inspired
me. For example Patrick Demarchelier as
an example of classic fashion photographer,
David LaChapelle - very innovative,
visual appealing and provocative or Terry
Richardson – ugly personality but interesting
and original style, simple, straight forward.
What do you feel a photo to possess to be
successful?
Emotions and interesting subject.
Are you constantly searching for new models
or do they come to you?
No I am not looking for models. I am looking
only for inspiration. If I have an inspira-

tion I will find a model suitable for it but
models on its own can be inspiring. My
personal best and most important inspiration
is my partner Caprice Castillo
who give me a lot of things to tell about
in my pictures, emotions, passion, lust,
Muse and working with her is the most
inspiring and pleasant way to create
my pictures and also inspires me to
work with other models that could be
my tools or clay to portray my emotions
derived from her.

0.BEFORE THE WORKSHOP
We will be very happy to see your work, it would
be very helpful. It will help Lucas Toma to understand
your needs and your current level.
You can send an email with your photos or send
link to online portfolio.
Prepare and send your questions which you would
like to ask. Take in to account type and length of
the course but we will try to respond to your questions
in time frame of the course.

1.THEORY (2hours)
We will talk about most important things which decide
about quality of the pictures.
-Style in photography, fashion, commercial.
-Nudity and sexuality in photography and fashion
photography.
-Nature of symbols in photography
-Aesthetics and technique what is more important
-Lighting
-Elements of every shooting. How we should construct
our shootings.

2.SHOOTING (6hours)
During second part of the workshop we will conduct
shooting with our model.
We will shoot a few examples illustrating how to
work with a model, lighting and idea to achieve
desired fashion and sensual look.
Photographer conducting class will show hot to setup
given lighting, how to work with model and all
what is needed in a given situation. Later you will
do your shooting with a model.
you will learn:
- easy approach to advanced subjects
- fast and simple lighting setups suitable for fashion
shootings
- working with model

- more complicated lighting to achieve look with
more effects (do not read better, just different)
you will be allowed to use pictures from the workshop
in your book after it will be accepted in special
closed facebook group. This group will be
used to comment results of participants, give post
workshop advice, you will be able to ask questions
etc. (more details later)
Acceptance is only needed to eliminate usage of
strange pictures, showing model between poses
or from a bad perspective. We will be working with
professional model and we need to respect her
professional look :).
In case you will be declined to use your photo
photographer need to help you choose better one
from a given stylization. You need to have at least

WE WILL CREATE CLOSED

PURPOSE OF THE GROUP
-we will review and comment all photos
made during workshop (up to 6 per participant plus
every one additionally if any photo was rejected to use in the
book/portfolio).
-acceptance to use in the portfolio (we will
work out to achieve at least one good photo per look, acceptance
will be made by comment by Lucas Toma “ACCEPTED”)
-response to questions by participants (2 per
participant - picture revision is not counted). Question should be
clarification of subject from workshop not new subjects.
