Geschichte und Philosophie
Bullard blickt auf eine über 100-jährige Firmengeschichte zurück,
in der sich das Familienunternehmen zu einem der großen
internationalen Hersteller persönlicher Schutzausrüstung entwickelt
hat.
Angefangen hat es mit einem Arbeitschutzhelm aus dampfgeformtem
Leder für Bergarbeiter.
In den 30er Jahren, zu Zeiten des Baus der Golden Gate Bridge,
wurden die ersten Kunststoffhelme entwickelt.
Heute liefert Bullard ein breites Programm modernster
Arbeitschutzhelme und Ausrüstungen für leichten Atemschutz.
Die Produktionsanlagen in Cynthiana, Kentucky gehören zu den
modernsten weltweit.
Das Aufkommen neuer Kunststofftechnologien bewegte Bullard in
den folgenden Jahrzehnten dazu, sich mit Helmen für die Feuerwehr
zu befassen.
Heute verfügt Bullard über langjährige Erfahrung in der Herstellung
von Helmen für Brandbekämpfung und Rettungsdienst nach
härtesten internationalen Standards.
Die engen Kontakte in diesen Markt führten 1998 zu dem Entschluss,
eine speziell für die Brandbekämpfung entwickelte Wärmebildkamera
auf den Markt zu bringen.
Das Konzept eines einfach zu bedienenden Geräts in robustester
Bauweise begründete den inzwischen legendären Ruf der Bullard-
Wärmebildkameras.
1996 wurde die Bullard GmbH gegründet um den europäischen
Markt intensiver zu erschließen.
Amerikanischen Produkte wurden hiesigen Bedürfnissen angepasst
und nach europäischen Normen zugelassen. Neue, speziell für Europa
entwickelte Produkte kamen hinzu.
Und Bullard investiert weiter in diesen wichtigen Markt.
Eins aber wird Bullard unverändert belassen.
Den Anspruch, dem Anwender funktionale, langlebige und effiziente
Produkte an die Hand zu geben.

History
Philosophy
Bullard can look back on a corporate history spanning over a century.
Over time, this family firm has developed into one of the leading
international manufacturers of personal protective equipment, in many
cases setting the standards for the safety industry. And it all started
with a protective work helmet, steam-molded from leather, to protect
miners.
Over the next several decades, Bullard expanded its product line to
include many products to increase the safety of the world’s workforce.
Bullard products were designed and engineered for use in the
construction of such U. S. landmarks as the Golden Gate Bridge and
the Hoover Dam.
Today Bullard manufactures and markets respiratory equipment and
fire fighting helmets in addition to hard hats and caps, all meeting
or exceeding the tough American standards set for personal protective
equipment.
Decades of experience in the fire fighting industry prompted the
introduction of a thermal imaging camera to the fire fighting market
in 1998. The concept of a user-friendly device, tough enough for
the rigors of fire fighting was the starting point of the legendary
reputation Bullard continues to enhance for producing innovative
solutions to the challenges of today’s fire fighter.
Bullard GmbH was founded in 1996 to bring these same innovations
to the European market. American-engineered products were modified
to meet or exceed the European standards. New products, developed
specifically for Europe, were designed and added to the offering.
Bullard continues to invest product development resources to further
explore the needs of the European workforce.
The production plant in Cynthiana, Kentucky, is among the most
modern in the world. The production and product development teams
strive to continuously improve both our products and our processes,
but one thing remains constant – Bullard’s commitment to not only
protect, but educate the world’s workforce on the safe and effective
use of personal protective equipment.

EINSATZHELM MAGMA
Magma ist das jüngste Kind der Bullard
Helmfamilie und gleichzeitig das
innovativste.
Basis des Systems ist eine Plattform,
von der aus sich der Anwender seinen
„eigenen“ Helm konfigurieren kann.
Sei es ein Halbschalenhelm vom Typ A
oder ein Dreiviertelschalenhelm vom Typ
B, der Baukasten hat beides. Das Design
bleibt dabei durchgängig gleich.
Den Wunsch nach maximaler Ausstattung
bedient das System ebenso wie begrenzte
Budgets, ohne dabei Abstriche an
Komfort, Sicherheit oder Funktion zu
machen.
All dies lässt sich untereinander
kombinieren und jederzeit wieder ändern.
Magma ist konsequenter Leichtbau, dank
eines neu entwickelten Schalenmaterials
und bestechend einfacher Konstruktion
bei maximaler Funktion.
Sein Gewicht bleibt unter der Marke von
1.400 Gramm und ist damit Bestwert.
Nur 29* Komponenten baut der Anwender
in wenigen Minuten auseinander und
wieder zusammen.
Dabei bietet das System eine Vielzahl
sinnvoller Einstellmöglichkeiten, die
Sicherheit und Tragekomfort zugutekommen.
Ein besonderes Augenmerk hat Bullard auf die
Unterhaltskosten gelegt.
Kein anderer Helm kommt mit weniger

The new Magma helmet system is
based on a platform that enables the
user to configure his/her individual
helmet.
Whether a type A half-shell helmet
or type B three-quarter-shell helmet
- the construction kit offers it all,
while keeping the design thoroughly
consistent.
The system can handle the need for
maximum equipment just like limited
budgets without compromising
comfort, safety and functionality.
All these elements can be combined
ad lib and changed at any time.
Magma features a consequent
lightweight design thanks to an
innovative shell material, while
offering utmost functionality.
The helmet features an unmatched
low weight of less than 1,400
grams and is made from just 29*
components.
Users can dismount and assemble
the helmet components within a few
minutes each.
The system also offers a large variety of
useful adjustment options to support the
safety and wearing comfort.
Bullard has put special focus on the
operating costs.
No other helmet consists of less
components. Accordingly, fewer
components are subject to wear and
tear and must be held on stock as spare
parts. Each component can be replaced
individually at reasonable prices.

Designer, der das
neue System von Grund auf
entwickelte.
Herausgekommen sind zwei moderne
Klassiker.
Helme mit neuer Formensprache und neuen
Features, die Sicherheit und Tragekomfort
zugute kommen.
Einfache und dauerhafte Konstruktionen standen ebenso
im Vordergrund des Lastenhefts wie problemloses Handling,
Wartungsfreundlichkeit und hoher Tragekomfort.
Der Einsatz vorhandener, standardisierter Bauteile hielt
Entwicklungskosten und Ausgaben für den Werkzeugbau
niedrig, was letztendlich einer attraktiven Preisgestaltung für
zwei hochwertige neue Produkte zugutekam.
Das Modell H2000 ergänzt den H3000 im Preissegment
darunter, bei gleich hohem Sicherheitsanspruch und
Tragekomfort, mit etwas einfacherer Ausstattung, niedrigerem
Gewicht und einem attraktiven Design.
Der H1500 als Basismodell deckt die Nachfrage nach einem
preisgünstigen, sicheren und attraktiven Helm, der trotz
seines budgetfreundlichen Preises mehr Tragekomfort und
ein besseres Handling bietet als seine vergleichbaren
Mitbewerber.

The H1500 and H2000 models round
the H Family of tough fire fighting
helmets. Bullard commissioned
an external designer to
ensure a quality product
at an affordable price that
would meet the needs of the
European fire fighter. These two
modern classics, combining a new
form and new features with a simple,
durable construction, easy handling, low
maintenance, and high comfort level, are
the result – all at a more attractive price.
The model H2000 has all the safety
features and comfort of the H3000, but
with slightly fewer options. The H2000
has a lower weight and attractive design,
at a lower price.
