confluence is on <strong>the</strong> opposite bank close to Podgrad, which<br />

you can reach by car. On your way back to <strong>the</strong> centre <strong>of</strong> Dol<br />

you can stop at nearby churches, should you have time. If<br />

not, cont<strong>in</strong>ue straight back to Dolsko.<br />

Maybe it is already time to stop at Pr’Krač homestead<br />

where you will be served an excellent lunch. The history <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> homestead is connected with <strong>the</strong> river traffic on <strong>the</strong> Sava<br />

River.<br />

From here you can beg<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> 1.5 kilometres long walk along<br />

<strong>the</strong> Vega Trail (Vegova pot) to Zagorica, where <strong>the</strong> famous<br />

Slovene, <strong>the</strong> Baron Jurij Vega, was born. You can also get <strong>the</strong>re<br />

by car. In Zagorica you can visit a simple museum, quartered<br />

<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> birth house <strong>of</strong> Baron Jurij Vega. Vega’s descendants<br />

will give you a warm welcome and treat you with a glass <strong>of</strong><br />

home-made brandy. Vega Trail cont<strong>in</strong>ues from Zagorica to<br />

Moravče, however, you should follow <strong>the</strong> path till <strong>the</strong> old<br />

Bavon House (Bavonova hiša) only. Here you will see what<br />

old farm houses from Vega’s times looked like. Then return<br />

to <strong>the</strong> valley and go through Murovica, Osredke and V<strong>in</strong>je.<br />

Spend <strong>the</strong> rest <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> day <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> municipality <strong>of</strong> Dolsko and<br />

d<strong>in</strong>e and stay overnight <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Vegov hram Inn.<br />

You can end <strong>the</strong> tour here or you can also explore <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r<br />

side <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> hill where Moravče is situated. If you don’t m<strong>in</strong>d<br />

push<strong>in</strong>g your car to its limits, take <strong>the</strong> road cross<strong>in</strong>g Osredke<br />

and lead<strong>in</strong>g past Jemčev wayside shr<strong>in</strong>e. O<strong>the</strong>rwise, take a<br />

bit <strong>of</strong> a longer way pass<strong>in</strong>g through Ihan and Domžale. On<br />
