This was a house <strong>of</strong> a skilled tailor, which was bought<br />

and rebuilt by <strong>the</strong> municipality. By rebuild<strong>in</strong>g stables, <strong>the</strong> entire<br />

barn, which can still boast with its preserved appearance,<br />

has ga<strong>in</strong>ed new space <strong>for</strong> exhibitions, meet<strong>in</strong>gs and different<br />

educational events <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> cultural heritage enthusiasts.<br />

Cont<strong>in</strong>ue with <strong>the</strong> tour on a byway <strong>for</strong> Gorjuša to Krumperk<br />

Castle (Grad Krumperk). The previous owner <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> castle,<br />

Adam Ravbar, went down <strong>in</strong> history with <strong>the</strong> battle at Sisak,<br />

where a vastly larger Ottoman army lead by pasha Hasan was<br />

brought to <strong>the</strong>ir knees by Ravber’s <strong>for</strong>ces. You can see <strong>the</strong><br />

castle from <strong>the</strong> outside. Close to <strong>the</strong> castle <strong>the</strong>re is ano<strong>the</strong>r<br />

tourist attraction – Iron Cave (Železna jama), which is <strong>the</strong><br />

only accessible one <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> tourists <strong>in</strong> this part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Karst<br />

region. You can also visit a museum that houses a stone and<br />

fossil collection and archaeological excavations. It also shows<br />

<strong>the</strong> historical development <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> traditional craft <strong>of</strong> straw<br />

weav<strong>in</strong>g. Guided <strong>tours</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> cave and <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> museum take<br />

place every Sunday at 2pm. After <strong>the</strong> tour you can have a<br />

delicious meal at Jamarski dom Restaurant.<br />

The next stop is a nearby village Krt<strong>in</strong>a, where St. Leonard’s<br />

Church (Cerkev sv. Lenarta), a f<strong>in</strong>e late Gothic <strong>for</strong>t<br />

church, is located. Today, <strong>the</strong> church’s bell tower is home to<br />

<strong>the</strong> wooden doors <strong>in</strong>to which Turkish enemy had thrust his<br />

sword. F<strong>in</strong>ish <strong>the</strong> lovely day by visit<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> members <strong>of</strong> Rača<br />

Tourist Association (Turistično društvo Rača). There you can<br />
