Unto and Taina Makinen will be at<br />
<strong>Suomi</strong>-<br />
<strong>Koti</strong> on Saturday <strong>March</strong> 10th for an<br />
afternoon of singing and playing<br />
beginning at 2:30pm. They will perform<br />
and also lead us in some group singing.<br />
Everyone welcome.<br />
On Sunday <strong>March</strong> 11th, the United Church will hold a worship service<br />
in the activity lounge at 11:30am. All are welcome.<br />
On Monday <strong>March</strong> 12th, there will be a family<br />
council meeting in the small activity lounge/feeding<br />
room at 2pm. Guests and new members welcome.<br />
(The usual Monday afternoon activity will not be<br />
held on that day.)<br />
On Wednesday <strong>March</strong> 14th, instead of the regular discussion group<br />
program, there will be an afternoon of accordion music and sing-along<br />
with Unto Mäkinen, beginning at 2:30pm. Welcome.<br />
On Friday <strong>March</strong> 16th, we will have a party at 2:30 pm to celebrate St.<br />
Patrick's Day/St. Urho's Day, and also to bid farewell to students Hanna<br />
and Elina.<br />
Saturday <strong>March</strong> 17th is the annual bowling<br />
fundraising event at Thorncliff Bowlerama. We are<br />
still looking for bowlers, as well as for sponsors and<br />
for prize donations. Please contact the activity office<br />
if you are able to help in any of those areas. (Note that<br />
bowlers are asked to raise a minimum of $100 in<br />
sponsorship)<br />
Spectators are welcome. There will be a raffle draw as well as a 50/50<br />
draw, and non-bowlers are welcome to participate in both.
