ABOUT QUBE...
Satisfying the demands of professionals who make a living making music, responding to the specific and often unique
requests of live performers and live sound providers with competitive prices: this is not just a dream. It is the philosophy
behind QUBE AUDIO Systems, a range of passive and powered speaker systems, power amplifiers and processor modules.
The result is a comprehensive, expandable and fully reliable P.A. system with incredible sound quality and versatility
that makes QUBE an ideal choice for permanent installations as well as touring live sound applications.
The Qube Project - dedicated to professionals who won't settle for second best.
Sound Quality
QUBE Series speakers are the optimum solution for Live
Performance Sound Reinforcement, whether they are
taking place in small and intimate venues, or in big open air
arenas where thousands of watts and high SPL are required.
The series offers high fidelity sound reproduction thanks to
the components, specifically designed and carefully matched
to provide top quality sound reproduction at high sound
pressure levels, show after show, night after night.
A Comprehensive Product Range
Those who choose QUBE embrace the philosophy of a
system that is designed to adapt to a wide range of requirements, from
the perfect pair of speakers for the piano-bar
performer or the consultant with the task of designing a P.A.
system for a public building, to mega wattage concert
systems for musicians performing at high volume for thousands
of fans. Our goal of supplying a comprehensive product
range is reached by offering a complete series of passive
and powered speakers. The powered versions feature a
built-in digital controller. Optional external QUBE digital
controllers to be used along with QUBE and other power
amplifiers will further enhance the performance of the passive
version speakers, as well as providing the expansion of
2 way full range systems with subwoofers and enabling
system configurations in accordance with individual requirements.
Expandability Options
The modularity and flexibility of the QUBE systems enables
users to continually expand their systems at minimum cost,
“navigating” through configuration options by simply integrating
additional components to their existing systems.
Even if your original starter system is only a pair of powered
speakers, and later your needs change, it is a simple matter
to increase the power of the system by adding additional
powered speakers. Alternatively, the addition of a pair of
powered subwoofers provides a truly comprehensive
system in terms of wide frequency response.
Reliability
Those who claim to offer a professional P.A system must
guarantee the reliability of their components. Our engineers
have made no compromises on this front. The QUBE protection
circuitry that's built into the crossover filter limits
excess power from being supplied to the HF drivers, preventing
driver failures as well as preventing the woofers
from overheating and voice coil burnout. The protection circuitry
also limits over excursion of the woofers cone to prevent
alteration and damage to its mechanical characteristics.
The same attention to detail is provided on the QUBE
amplifiers series, with protection circuits to prevent direct
current, overheating and accidental short-circuiting at the
outputs.
Optimisation
For those not content even with the matchless specifications
of QUBE speakers, the digital controller further enhances
their performance, by optimizing sound, reliability and flexibility.
The digital controllers' processor has been designed
to allow active optimization of the already impressive frequency
response through “ad hoc” equalization of each individual
speaker, and to optimize reliability by protecting woofers
in the same way as the HF drivers. The QUBE 2 way passive
speakers input panel features a switch to choose full
range or biamped operation.
High Dynamic Device.
Featured in the QUBE powered speakers amplifiers, the
HDD Circuitry is an integrated system, comprising a digital
processor and two high efficiency amplifiers. The
system is very compact and light, and offers sophisticated
equalization, protection circuitry and energy control to
produce extremely clean audio reproduction with high
dynamics.
Key Features of HDD
· Time Domain Equalization to produce the best frequency
and phase response.
· The Built-in crossover is designed for minimum driver
interference and provides the best polar response.
· Excursion control to prevent the woofer(s) exceeding
their allowed displacement.
· Energy Control to keep the woofers from overpowering,
over excursion and in safe operation condition.
· High efficiency, high peak power Class D PWM amplifier
for the LF woofer.
· High efficiency Class G amplifier for the HF compression
driver.
· Remote control of QUBE powered speakers is possible
via the QUBE QRC 32 Network Interface, a PC and dedicated
program software to meet the challenging acoustics
of any venue.
· Remote control operations include: EQ curve presets
and fine adjustments with 4 band equalization and delay
control. Monitoring the systems status: speaker operation,
volume control, input sensitivity selection, output
levels, gain overload or equalizer overload, on/off commands,
and monitoring of the input. User designed presets
can also be saved and locked into memory.
·
12 factory presets (4 EQ and 8 delay control) are also
selectable in manual mode via DIP switches on the
panel of the power amp module. After extensive field
testing in many venues, the QUBE engineers developed
these presets to provide the speakers with optimum
performance for different venue applications. All the
speakers have the following default presets: Floor, Low
Extension, HF Compensation, Array.
These presets allow frequency response adjustments:
1.To balance the low frequency energy gain / boost
2.To extend the frequency response of the low frequencies
to compensate for the lack of a subwoofer at moderate
SPL levels.
3.To compensate the high frequency attenuation due to
the air in a long throw “ far-field” situation.
4.To assemble two or more speakers in array configurations,
increasing the SPL and the coverage angles.
· On/Off sub connection
New powered versions are the latest additions to the
QUBE Series Speakers; By the use of the HHD (High
Dynamic Device) Power Module, which consists of Class
D "PWM" and Class G amplifiers, along with Digital DSP
circuitry to provide Remote Control System
Supervision, the Powered QUBE speakers are tailored
for a wide range of touring and installed sound reinforcement
applications.
NOTE: The QUBE Full Range Passive Versions offer Two way bi amped operation by placing the switch located on the back plate to Bi amp
operation mode.
QM 115 Floor Monitor system
The QM 115 floor monitor features a low profile cabinet design
employing a COAXIAL 15” LF woofer, a concentric mounted HF driver
with a 3” titanium diaphram and a 2” exit. The use of a coaxial
speaker is quite close to a one point source and offers 70° conical
dispersion which excels for monitoring applications Vs conventional
floor monitors employing a individual woofer and a separate HF horn
/ driver. The result is a monitor with an excellent vocal presence, clarity,
and provides flat response without coloration as well as superior
anti feedback resistance. The built in full range passive crossover,
also offers bi amped operation via a switch on the input panel. The
QM 115 is capable of up to 133dB SPL allowing it to be used in concert
applications where instrument stage volumes can sometimes
overwhelm monitor mixes. The QM 115 also excels as a Drum monitor
especially when it is used along with a QS 115 or QS 118 subwoofer.
The cabinet is constructed with 18 mm (3/4”) Baltic birch
plywood, is internally braced to prevent undesired resonance and
LINE ARRAY SYSTEM
QSA 210
LINE ARRAY
The QSA 210 is a two way passive line array speaker
featuring Two 10” neodymium magnet woofers and
Two 1” exit (1.7” voice coils) neodymium magnet HF
drivers. A single QSA 210 cabinet handles 500w
RMS at 8 ohms and delivers 127dB SPL. The system
is based on a totally new technology: The Isophasic
Plane Wave Generator. The Isophasic Plane Wave
Generator utilizes path length equalization technology,
which generates planar wave fronts over a
wide operating band. The higher frequencies pass
thru as rays, while at lower frequencies the refractor
lens represent a close spaced array of diffraction
slots. The result is a line shaped source evenly
distributed within the cabinet as well as within the
line array. It allows high power and precise line array performance to be generated from a column of biamped
(a minimum of Six QSA 210) cabinets just 60 cm (23.6”) wide. The cabinet is designed for extremely
quick set-up and the included two point flying hardware provides Two different settings (0° and 5°) to allow
the creation of a straight line array and curved clustering (J-Array). The express bar is designed for sturdy
fly mounting as well as ground-stacking the cabinets. The optional QUBE SP 26 is a digital signal-processing
controller that is programmable to optimize the performance of the total system. Other Qube Series
speakers systems and subwoofers are fully compatible, electronically and acoustically, with the QSA 210,
which can be used to partner with it for Sidefills, Downfills and sub bass applications.
BRK
The QUBE BRK is a 3 way trapezoidal full range horn loaded loudspeaker
enclosure. Equipped with two 15” (LF) woofers, and a coaxial 10” (MF) woofer
with a concentric 2” exit (HF) driver. The 2” HF driver with a 2.5” diaphragm is
coupled to a Renkus-Heinz® model - CBH2000-6 Horn, which provides a well
balanced frequency response throughout the field of 60° H x 40°V dispersion.
Due to the coaxial design of the 10” midrange woofer and the 2” HF horn, the
audio is reproduced from a essentially one-point source, which greatly adds to
clarity and transparency of the sound and also reduces problems with lobing
and comb filtering effects. The extremely high sensitivity of (106 dB 1W/1m)
enables high power handling and efficient amplifier utilization, and provides
the BRK speaker system the capability of delivering sound pressure levels of
133 dB (RMS) and up to 137 dB (peak). The BRK speaker system handles
2760w - 2x15”: 2000w (LF), 10”: 600w (MF), 2”: 160w (HF) RMS.
This touring specified enclosure is constructed with durable 13-layer, 18 mm
(3/4”) Baltic birch plywood with a scratch & scuff resistant black paint finish.
The BRK cabinet is heavily internally braced for extra stabilization to prevent undesired resonance at extreme
sound pressure levels and is equipped with extra-reinforced flying hardware that runs from top to bottom for
easy rigging. Ergonomically placed heavy-duty carrying handles assist in transporting and stacking. The QUBE
BRK is by sound and size carefully matched to the QUBE RUT Double18” subwoofer. Due to the identical sizes
of the cabinets, the handling and rigging for these loudspeaker systems is extremely easy and well balanced.
RUT
The QUBE RUT is the companion subwoofer for the QUBE BRK 3-way full range
speaker system. Like the QUBE BRK, the RUT is a trapezoidal shaped cabinet
with the same cabinet dimensions. Featuring horn-loaded subwoofer construction
with 2 x 18” woofers it is capable of solid sub frequency response from 32 to
150Hz. The horn construction is a 7th order band pass design and due to its
excellent transient response, it is able of delivering high definition sub frequencies
with an extreme “tight” sound. The dual 18” woofers can handle 2800w (2
ohm) and will produce sound pressure levels of 132 dB continuous and 137 dB
peak. This touring specified enclosure is constructed in durable 13-layer 18mm
(3/4”) Baltic birch plywood and is heavily braced for extra stabilization and resonance
cancellation. The RUT cabinet is equipped with heavy duty handles for
easy rigging and stacking and is finished in durable polyurethane black paint.
The size and sound of the QUBE RUT is carefully matched with the QUBE BRK in
order to simplify stacking / rigging and enhance the overall capabilities of a
complete BRK / RUT system.
