September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. In
order to show our support, the football players,
cheerleaders, and coaches of West Allegheny Youth
Football & Cheer are wearing gold wristbands for the

Our 9U football players and cheerleaders have been working very hard. Our 9U boys are off to a great start.
They are 3-0 going into this weekend’s action against North Hills. The coaching staff is very proud of each
and every boy and the effort that they have given. We wish them much success throughout the rest of the
season as they continue to work hard to make it back to the Super Bowl again this year. The 9U
cheerleaders are doing an amazing job. You can see them perform at halftime of the 9U game. The 9U
coaches are very proud of the effort that each and every girl has given at practice and during the games.
Great job 9U football players and 9U cheerleaders!

Youth night will be
held on Friday, October
4 during the high
school football game
when our West
Allegheny High School
team plays host to Steel
Valley. Game time is
7:00 PM. More
information to come
about what time to be
there and where to
meet. .
Our 7U, 8U, 9U, 10U, & 11U teams hosted the
Brookline Knights and our 12U team hosted Bethel
Park at West Allegheny High School Stadium. West
Allegheny played hard all day long and at the end of
the day left with a 3-3 record. Our 7U, 8U, and 9U
teams all recorded their third win of the season
defeating Brookline. Our 10U, 11U, and 12U teams
played hard but came out on the losing end. They are
looking to regroup this weekend and come out strong.

Come out and support the West Allegheny Volleyball
team and its Dig Pink campaign on October 3, 2013
at 6:00 PM when West Allegheny faces off against
Bethel Park. Education is the key to increasing
knowledge about the disease and fundraising is
essential to support further research. Our own West
Allegheny Cheerleaders will once again be there to
support this great cause. Put on your PINK and come
on out to help our little Indian cheerleaders support a
great cause and cheer on the West Allegheny High
School Volleyball team.

The 11U Football team is hosting their Final Fright Night Halloween Bash to help
raise money for their trip to the Midwest National Football Championship in
Cleveland, Ohio.
