Anne Tucker<br />

Anne holds the position of Senior Corporate Solicitor within Tatts Group Limited’s legal group. Since joining<br />

TattsBet in 2005 Anne has been involved in TattsBet’s (formerly UNiTAB Limited) merger with Tatts Group<br />

Limited (formerly Tattersall’s Limited) and the merged company’s subsequent acquisition of Golden Casket in<br />

2007 and New South Wales Lotteries Corporation Pty Limited in 2010.<br />

Anne is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and is Company Secretary of all of the TattsBet<br />

group companies.<br />

Tim Devine<br />

Tim Devine joined Tatts Group Limited in 2009 and holds the position of Senior Corporate Solicitor within Tatts<br />

Group’s legal team. He is primarily responsible for providing legal support for the TattsBet Wagering and<br />

Maxgaming businesses. Prior to joining Tatts Group, Tim held positions as a lawyer in private-practice firms<br />

and in-house.<br />

William Thorburn<br />

Bill Thorburn has wide experience in the gaming industry and had been Chief Executive of Golden Casket<br />

since 1995. In July 2007, Bill was appointed Chief Executive of Tatts Lotteries which currently services six<br />

Australian lottery jurisdictions with combined annual sales of over $3 billion<br />

Sue van der Merwe<br />

Sue van der Merwe’s background is in marketing. After qualifying with a degree majoring in marketing and<br />

economics, Sue held various marketing roles in leading international consumer good companies. In 1990 Sue<br />

joined Golden Casket’s marketing team as Senior Brand Manager. In 1995 Sue was promoted to Director of<br />

Marketing and Sales and then in 2000 to General Manager Lotteries. In July 2007, Sue took on an expanded<br />

role as General Manager Group Lottery Operations for Tatts Lotteries. In this role, Sue is responsible for<br />

strategic oversight of core operational areas of the lottery business including Marketing, Retail, Public<br />

Relations, Social Responsibility/Community and Business Development.<br />

Antony Moore<br />

Antony’s background is in Retail Operations. Antony has a business degree majoring in Economics and<br />

Accounting (Double). Over the past decade, Antony has worked in retail operations at Store Management level<br />

with the Coles Group, as well as spending time in the Coles Retail Merchandise department overseeing the<br />

Queensland Dairy category. He then moved into Multi site roles in the Coles Liquor Group before taking on<br />

State Manager roles in Amart Allsports (Rebel Group) and Retail Adventures Pty Ltd. Most recently Antony<br />

was the Chief Operating Officer of a Contract Cleaning and ecommerce business before joining Tatts Lotteries<br />

as the Head of Retail.<br />

Stephen Lawrie<br />

Stephen Lawrie is the Chief Information Officer for Tatts Group Limited. He began in this role when Tatts<br />

Group Limited (formerly Tattersall’s Limited) and TattsBet Limited (formerly UNiTAB Limited) merged in late<br />

2006, having been the head of Technology with TattsBet Limited since mid 1999. He began his software<br />

development career with TAB Queensland in 1982, and has over 29 years experience with the online<br />

transaction systems. More than 25 years of this has been spent with the current company.<br />

3.2 A summary of relevant business experience of the franchisor in the last 10 years, including:<br />

(a) length of experience in:<br />

(i) operating a business that is substantially the same as that of the franchise; and<br />

(ii) offering other franchises that are substantially the same as the franchise; and<br />

Golden Casket was originally established as “Golden Casket Art Union” in 1916 and has run a lottery<br />

based business since that time.<br />

Golden Casket is now wholly owned and controlled by Tattersall’s Holdings Pty Ltd which in turn is<br />

wholly owned and controlled by Tatts Group who acquired Golden Casket from the Queensland State<br />

Government in 2007.Tatts Group also owns the licensed lottery operator in each of New South Wales<br />

(New South Wales Lottery Corporation Ltd) and Victoria (Tattersall’s Sweep Pty Ltd) and as such<br />

operates the government licensed lotteries in those States<br />

The lottery products sold by Golden Casket and its network have changed and expanded over the<br />

years and Golden Casket currently has in excess of 1,000 lottery outlets throughout Queensland,<br />

Tasmania and Northern Territory and an annual turnover in excess of $800 million.<br />

(b) whether the franchisor has offered franchises for other businesses and, if so:<br />

(i) a description of each such business; and<br />
