CED Professional
Shooting Range Bag
CCM contributor Miguel Gonzalez
writes: “A range bag is probably the
most abused piece of gear of any shooter.
It has to carry a lot of weight, gets
thrown around, kicked, over-stuffed
and no pampering. Enter the tough CED
Professional Shooting Range Bag. It is
spacious inside and comes with a gun
pouch that doubles as pistol rug, more
pockets than you
will ever need
(including a dedicated
mag pocket),
brass bag and
the main bag zipper
is built like a
railroad track.
Colors are black, blue, red and green.
Price is $100 and under.”
ADE Speed Sights
These unusual, large, diamondshaped
sights were recommended to us
by CCM photographer Oleg Volk. Oleg
writes: “Speed Sights speed up sight
alignment considerably at close range
and allow greater precision farther out.
12
Now that they are available with Tritium
inserts, I will be upgrading my carry pistol
to include Speed Sight ‘Diamonds in
the rough’.” Prices start around $80.
Alessi CQC/S
CCM columnist Bruce Eimer recommends
USCCA members check out the
Alessi CQC/S, a top-grade leather outside
the belt holster which uses snaps
to make installation and removal of
the holster, well, a snap. Riding with a
slight forward cant, the CQC/S should
be worn just behind the hip. The holster
is available in black or brown leather,
or exotic leathers for an extra fee. Bruce
claims, “This is the best snap on outside
the belt holster on the market. It rides
really close to the body and high for superb
concealment.” Price: $135.
Helpful
Website for
Handgun
Owners
Volunteers Steve
Aikens and Gary
Slider run a free,
well-maintained
reference site
which includes
many helpful links
to state laws and
government sites.
If you have a question
about state laws related to concealed or open carry, or any other aspect of
handgun ownership and use, this is a great place to start your search because
it contains a lot of information and very little clutter. Gary writes, “I depend on
people to keep me up to date especially on the little state changes,” and asks
readers to contact him if they find any errors or omissions anywhere on the site.
