Purpose: This program addresses evidence-based practices, public accountability for evidence-based health care, strategies to<br />

meet the needs <strong>of</strong> consumers <strong>of</strong> health care, and the Patient Centered Medical Home. A variety <strong>of</strong> perspectives will be included,<br />

from patients and families to health care leaders and policy makers. Implications for practice, education, and research will be<br />

discussed which are <strong>of</strong> particular importance for all nurses including clinicians; unit, specialty and organizational leaders; faculty<br />

and program directors; and those responsible for developing, implementing, teaching, and evaluating evidence-based health<br />

care.<br />
