Purpose: This program addresses evidence-based practices, public accountability for evidence-based health care, strategies to
meet the needs of consumers of health care, and the Patient Centered Medical Home. A variety of perspectives will be included,
from patients and families to health care leaders and policy makers. Implications for practice, education, and research will be
discussed which are of particular importance for all nurses including clinicians; unit, specialty and organizational leaders; faculty
and program directors; and those responsible for developing, implementing, teaching, and evaluating evidence-based health
care.
