The average operation expectation for these units is 12-15 years. The proposed 5 year plan would replace approximately 9 units per year. Union Street Department: Public Works – Building Maintenance Division Fund: Capital Improvement Fund (Fund 410) Justification: The Justice Center currently has 3 boilers that are 16 years old. The average operation expectation for these units is 12-15 years. The proposed 5 year plan would replace approximately 2 units over the next three years. One boiler was replaced during the recent renovations however another unit is inoperable.
