PURPOSE: The Airport Improvement CIP identifies future improvements to the Delaware
Municipal Airport.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funding for these projects comes primarily from FAA grant funds.
The FAA AIP grant represents federal aviation funding which has been allocated to general
aviation airports. Delaware's allocation has been $150,000 per year. It is not known how far into
the future this grant funding will be available. This City also applies for FAA discretionary grant
funds for airport improvements. We do not currently have any discretionary grant funded projects.
The City's general fund covers our share of the grants and other projects that do not receive grant
funding.
