City of Delaware 2009-2013 Capital Improvement Fund Project: Wesleyan Woods Sanitary Sewer Description and Purpose: Several sources of infiltration/inflow and severe root intrusion into the sanitary sewer have been located in the Wesleyan Woods area. The project consists of trenchless methods of infiltration/inflow removal and some limited spot repairs. Department: Public Utilities – Sewer Fund - Maintenance Fund: Wastewater Construction Fund (Fund 541) Justification: Infiltration and inflow cause’s sanitary sewer backups into homes and increases flow to the WWTP. These flows decrease capacity of the WWTP and cause OEPA permit violations.
