Project: Treatment Plant Rehabilitation
Description and Purpose:
Rehabilitation of existing water treatment plant. This project is part of the new
Water Master Plan to help extent the life of the existing water plant.

Water Construction Fund (Fund 531)
Justification:
Program is needed to increase life of existing plant. The water plant was built
in 1930’s and has been upgraded several times. A recent condition assessment
showed that the current facilities are not suited for expansion or upgrade. The
original concrete structures will require partial repair / reconstruction due to
age, several unit processes do not meet current EPA design standards, building
code violations have been identified, and the current plant is located within the
Olentangy River flood plain.
