Project: Hills-Miller Road 24-inch Water Line Extension
Description and Purpose:
Construction of a 13,000 LF extension of the 24-inch distribution main along
Hills-Miller Road, west of the CSX railway, east and then north along US23 to
the Water Plant.

Water Capacity Fee Fund (Fund 536)
Justification:
Project is the final phase of a necessary improvement to the distribution system
and when complete, provides required redundancy in the system over the 100
year old 16-inch line parallel to US23.
Updates/Changes:
A 400 ft portion of this project from Merrick Blvd. to Hills-Miller Rd was
constructed in 2005 in conjunction with the TSC development project on the
west side of US-23. Engineering will continue in early 2008 with R/W for
approximately 30 properties. Construction of remaining portion of extension
estimated to begin in 2009.
