(i) Timely Correction of Risk Factors/<strong>Public</strong> <strong>Health</strong> Intervention (RF/PHI) Categories and<br />

HACCP Plans.<br />

1. Except as specified in 2 of this subsection, a person in charge shall at the time of inspection<br />

correct a violation of a Risk Factors/<strong>Public</strong> <strong>Health</strong> Interventions (RF/PHI) of this Chapter and<br />

implement corrective actions for a HACCP plan provision that is not in compliance with its critical<br />

limit.<br />

2. Considering the nature of the potential hazard involved and the complexity of the corrective<br />

action needed, the <strong>Health</strong> Authority may agree to or specify a longer time frame, not to exceed 10<br />

calendar days after the inspection, for the permit holder to correct violations of a Risk Factors/<strong>Public</strong><br />

<strong>Health</strong> Intervention item or HACCP plan deviations.<br />

3. Failure to correct these violations to the satisfaction of the <strong>Health</strong> Authority may result in such<br />

emergency action as deemed necessary by the <strong>Health</strong> Authority including actions pursuant to<br />

O.C.G.A. §§ 31-5-2(b); 31-5-9(a).<br />

(j) Time Frame for Correction of Good Retail Practices Categories.<br />

1. Except as specified in 2 of this subsection, the permit holder shall correct Good Retail Practices<br />

(GRP) categories within 72 hours of the food service establishment’s receipt of the inspection report<br />

or as otherwise directed by the <strong>Health</strong> Authority. Failure to make timely corrections to the satisfaction<br />

of the <strong>Health</strong> Authority of Good Retail Practices (GRP) categories may subject the food service<br />

establishment to suspension or revocation of its permit pursuant to subsection (1)(b) of this Rule.<br />

2. The <strong>Health</strong> Authority may approve a compliance schedule that extends beyond the time limits<br />

specified under 1 of this subsection if a schedule of compliance is submitted by the permit holder and<br />

no health hazard exists or will result from allowing an extended schedule for compliance.<br />

(k) Verification and Documentation of Correction.<br />

1. After observing at the time of inspection a correction of a violation of a Risk Factor/<strong>Public</strong><br />

<strong>Health</strong> Intervention (RF/PHI) item or deviation, the <strong>Health</strong> Authority shall enter the violation and<br />

information about the corrective action on the inspection report.<br />
