The Department of Homeland Security<br />

(DHS) announces implementation of<br />

the Electronic System for Travel Authorization<br />

(ESTA), which will begin to<br />

accept voluntary ESTA applications starting<br />

on August 1, 2008. ESTA is a new<br />

fully automated, electronic system for<br />

screening passengers before they begin<br />

travel to the United States under<br />

the Visa Waiver Program. ESTA applications<br />

may be submitted at any time<br />

prior to travel to the United States, and<br />

VWP travelers are encouraged to apply<br />

for authorization as soon as they begin<br />

to plan a trip to the United States. It<br />

is anticipated that ESTA will become<br />

mandatory for VWP travelers on January<br />

Cancellation of the Congress by the<br />

Organiser<br />

Congress fees will be reimbursed if the<br />

congress is cancelled for other reasons<br />

than war, warlike events, acts of terrorism<br />

or sickness epidemies. In the latter<br />

circumstances only a proportion of<br />

the congress fee would be refundable.<br />

Technical Industry Exhibition<br />

A technical exhibition will take place at<br />

the Convention Centre Foyer. It will be<br />

open every day throughout the meeting,<br />

Exhibitors will present a wide range<br />

of orthopaedic- and cartilage related<br />

products. Participants are encouraged<br />

to take advantage of this opportunity<br />

to be updated with the most recent<br />

advances and latest news of our industry<br />

partners. Companies may contact<br />

the ICRS Office for further exhibit- and<br />

sponsoring information.<br />

Intermissions<br />

During intermissions, coffee, tea and<br />

refreshments will be served in the exhibition<br />

area as a courtesy from ICRS.<br />
