Scientific Contributions
The Scientific Programme Committee
accepts your scientific contributions
for:
Oral Presentations
Free papers related to the main topics
of cartilage repair will be presented
during 12 free paper sessions. Speaking
time: 7 minutes and 3 minutes for
discussion. The speaking time must
strictly be observed by the presenters.
The overall best rated abstract will be
awarded by the Society.
All session rooms are equipped with
computer projection. All presenters
are requested to bring their Power-
Point presentation (Windows XP) on a
CD-ROM or USB stick and to check in
at the Audiovisual Center 3 hours prior
to their presentation. Detailed information
will be sent to the presenters on
time.
Electronic Posters
One of the main benefits of an electronic
poster exhibit is the post-congress
availability of the ICRS 2009 electronic
scientific exhibition in the member’s
area. This database will be fully
searchable by title, poster ID, authors,
full text and image annotation. Information
on how to use the electronic
poster submission system will be sent
to the authors of the accepted abstracts.
An independent jury will judge
the electronic posters by online grading
with regard to scientific content, educational
value and visual impression.
Awards for the best electronic posters
will be given during the ICRS Opening
& Awards Ceremony on Saturday, May
23, 2009, at 16.30 hs.
Traditional Posters
In addition to the electronic posters
which must be submitted mandatory,
the authors have also the possibility to
produce optionally a traditional paper
poster for the poster walls. If your abstract
is accepted as a poster, you must
submit your electronic poster to the
ICRS online poster submission system
and you may bring with you a traditional
poster for the poster exhibit.
Submission of Abstracts
Abstracts must be written according to
the abstract submission instructions to
be found on the ICRS abstract online
submission system. Abstract length is
limited to 250 words. For experimental
clinical studies and animal studies, a
copy of the approval received by the
local Ethical Committee must be sent
to the ICRS Executive Office. Abstracts
may be submitted online from September
15, 2008 through November 15,
2008 at midnight CET. Access the online
submission system on the website
www.cartilage.org. No submissions by
letter, fax or email will be accepted. No
extension of the submission period will
be allowed.
Confirmation of Scientific
Contributions
Scientific contributions will be confirmed
beginning of February 2009.
