The Author<br />
Lieutenant Colonel Ian Langford is a graduate of the Royal Military College, Duntroon,<br />
the USMC Comm<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> Staff College, the USMC School of Advanced Warfighting,<br />
Southern Cross University <strong>and</strong> Deakin University. He has deployed as part of several ADF<br />
<strong>and</strong> coalition operations throughout his career to various countries. He has comm<strong>and</strong>ed<br />
at the platoon, company, regimental (acting), <strong>and</strong> task group level.<br />
