I was referred to LNH Management Solutions when
looking to setup a new business venture. I’ve been very
pleased with the time Lee initially spent with me advising
on the business structure and helping with all of the
necessary set-up and registration requirements. Since
this, Lee regularly keeps contact to ensure the business is
running smoothly and has always been available to offer
his support in a personal and approachable manner. I’ve
been highly impressed with his services and would have
no hesitation in recommending him to other small businesses.
Dear Chris and Caroline, Thank you again for the
outstanding service. As you know, I had a specific
idea in mind which had some unusual features.
I did not feel confident that the first company I
approached could achieve the design I wanted
after their repeated failure to provide a drawing
to my specifications. In contrast you provided the
drawing I needed quickly and efficiently which,
together with your professional and caring
approach, left me in no doubt about placing an
order with you. My mother and I are delighted
with the stone, and I know my father would have
liked it. It’s funny but it seems so appropriate for
him, with its height, slim width and stylish
features. I hope I can equal your high standards
in the small planting area in front of the stone
with my flowers.
You both do such an important job and you do it
extremely well.
Brad Camp
12 13
10 companies, 1 day what happened?
the room. We chatted about our businesses, how we knew Brad and
what we wanted to get out of the next day.
It seemed I wasn’t alone in being nervous/excited/scared/confused/
having no idea as what the day would bring.
2015 15th January
A Mancunian who runs his business
wearing Tshirts & Jeans, called Brad
Burton (http://www.4networking.
biz/Members/Details/12966) who I
know, like & trust announced tickets
for his 1 day workshop named
“BradCamp” would be released
at 9am on January 16th. I really
wanted to go on this, why? Well he
had been trading over 9 years, I’d
not yet completed 1, he shares his
knowledge freely and helps masses
of businesses in just a 10minute
phone call. He’s written 3 books (just google him) all of which I’ve read
and all of them helped me. I wanted to pick his brains.
PROBLEM – I was on a course 2 hours away from 9am until 4pm
so I thought I’d miss out on tickets. I sent him a message and upon
receiving it he opened the tickets up early, just so I could get one.
What a star.
THE DAY – 2015 12th March
WOW POWERFUL STUFF. The day started as
you expect any workshop to start with Tea/
Coffee and chatting but then it all changed.
We got given these books and, like when you
were back at school, told not to open them
until told to. Then Brad told us to open at
any page. The reaction around the room was
stunned amazement, laughter and shock.
Ladies and Gents, this book is so powerful
it changed the lives and thinking of all 10
people on the course that day.
What Bradcamp did for me, personally, is it
made me realise that first & foremost I am
important, what is most important is health,
happiness and to me family. It empowered me to realise that negative
2015 11th March
I made the 4.5 hour drive form Poynton, where I am based to Taunton
after running a breakfast meeting in Macclesfield and then giving a 15
minute presentation at a lunch in Chester. Waiting for me in the bar
were 3 other who were also going on BradCamp. We had arranged
to meet for evening meal so we would at least know some others in

14 15
support is always going to come, but I can turn down the volume
on it, so it’s still there but if I hear it, which I am not doing as much
now, then I know it is because they are jealous or insecure or want
me to fail, it isn’t a reflection on me. On a business level as I write
this a week on from Bradcamp I have come away with new found
fire, motivation, belief in myself and therefore my firm and with the
everlasting support and friendship of all 10 businesses that were in
the room.
them. We support each other through
them. We ask each other questions,
we share when we have reached a
milestone we set down, in other words
I have another 10 businesses (including
Brad) who are as invested helping my
grow and achieve my goals as I am.
What more could you ask for out of
having 10 companies in a room for 1
day? Thank you to all the businesses I
met that day, waiting with baited breath
for our allotment reunion.
I would recommend that ANYONE and I mean ANYONE whether in
business, pondering their future, or just wanting to learn more about
themselves get yourselves booked on a BradCamp today. They truly
are inspirational, motivating, realise your true value, stop you wasting
time and certainly you will as I and the other 9 attendees did will come
away with so much information and plans to change for the better.
Unlike other workshops though, this support doesn’t stop. NO IT
continues, the business I met there we talk on a daily basis if not more
frequently, we still have bad days, non-productive days, but we share
Ps The next http://BradCamp.Biz WILL sell out. Stop dicking about!
Credit Control Tips
So you’ve raised an invoice, What’s next?
16 17
With almost 20years in the credit control industry Rachael worked
her way up from making 50 calls a day to training large credit control
departments to become more proactive to collecting debt and
changing their mindset on the calls.
All companies know that to get paid you need to raise an invoice. So
you’ve done that, but how do you get it paid? Below are 4 easy steps
for you to follow
1. Send the invoice out.
This may sound obvious, but there are many companies who delay
raising invoices and then once they have raised them delay sending
them out. If you delay raising or sending out your invoices, you give
your customer a reason to delay payment. They think “They couldn’t
be bothered invoicing me on time, why should I pay them on time?”
In 2013 she took the decision to start her own consultancy firm,
helping other businesses to collect cash quicker whilst making credit
control about customer relationships and brand awareness.
Now in her second year of trading she not only does consultancy role
but also runs workshops to help small businesses achieve the same
results. For more information visit her website www.rachaelchiverton.
co.uk, or email rachael@rachaelchiverton.co.uk or call 07756772950
2. Follow up once sent.
Again this is really important, if you have sent an invoice out, but
don’t follow up on it, how do you know they have received it? A quick
5 minute phone call a couple of days after you have sent it about
the product or service they bought during which you ask if they have
received your invoice number XX yet and this question is resolved.
3. Are there any problems with the invoice?
You know they have received the invoice, but you don’t know if
they agree it, or have any questions relating to it. Make it easy for
them, call them for a chat, talk about the weekend, their family their
interests and during the conversation ask them if there are any
problems with invoice number XX. If there are, deal with them, if
there isn’t say brilliant so how are you paying on date XX/XX/XX?
4. Check you bank
On day XX/XX/XX check your bank after 3pm and see if you have
received the payment. If it hasn’t arrived, give your customer a quick
courtesy call to see if it is his bank or yours with the problem.
3 Things you didn’t know you didn’t know
about social media.
1. Twitter Lists.
Twitter lists are highly underused but they are a fabulous & extremely
effective tool. Using Twitter lists you can segregate your followers into
groups to ensure your time spent on Twitter is maximised to its full
potential. Rather than trawling through the home feed, instead you
can go to your “Industry News” or “Potential Clients” list to engage,
retweet & tweet with purpose!
2. Facebook call-to-action button.
Have you seen the call-to-action button on your Facebook page? Use
it! This makes it incredibly easy for your audience to shop now, sign
up to your newsletter or contact you! You can also follow the success
of this button by exploring your insights.
Introtweet is a Social Media management & training business
based in Somerset. Her notable clients include 4Networking, PWG
Chocolates & the Great Gift Company.
To learn more about Introtweet & for more hints & tips please visit
www.introtweet.com.
3.You can promote yourself.
In my opinion, the 80:20 rule (80% of the time you promote others,
20% of the time you promote yourself) is one to be ignored! There is
nothing worse than exploring a businesses Social Media accounts to
then struggle to see what they actually provide or sell.
You are allowed to promote your business on Social Media; instead of
using words such as “Buy” & “Shop” use a catchy statement, key fact
or rhetorical question to encourage your audience to buy or click your
website link!

Unique Travel
22 23
Hello and welcome to your independent
travel expert here in Portishead
(you may want to re word this as I’m
not too local for those in
Cheltenham and Bath, and I’d have to
be careful I don’t upset any of my
colleagues in those areas…maybe we
could word it as “UNIQUE’S
INDEPENDENT TRAVEL EXPERT?”
With over 25 years of travel experience
I’m looking forward to sharing
my expertise when planning your next trip.
With the Christmas and New Year period being a popular time to
pop the question, this month I’m going to be talking all about honeymoons.
For many couples the choice of honeymoon destination is almost as
important as the wedding itself. So what’s the best way to make sure
your trip is truly memorable
My first advice to Honeymoon couples is to make sure you plan the
time of year you want to go away. Although the summer months
maybe popular for your wedding, this is often a less desirable time
to visit certain destinations, with the Caribbean facing the hurricane
season or the Southern Hemisphere in winter. Similarly an Easter
wedding may rule out the Indian Ocean due to monsoon rains. Don’t
forget, you don’t have to go on honeymoon straight after the special
day but it may be worth planning your wedding date around the
honeymoon you want!
This leads nicely into my next tip which is to plan well in advance.
Typically the earlier you book, the cheaper the price will
be with published air fares. You will also have your pick of the
room types and honeymoon upgrades that may be available
for early booking. This also allows you to save up over a longer
period. At Travel Counsellors I give my honeymoon couples the
option of a Bridal Registry Service which provides the option of
encouraging wedding guests to contribute to the honeymoon
rather than receive the standard wedding presents you may
already own.
If you and your partner differ in the type of holiday you enjoy,
why not think about a twin centre honeymoon. Combining a
week of activity with a week of relaxing is becoming ever more
popular for my honeymoon couples. With options like California
with Hawaii, Sri Lanka with the Maldives or Africa Safari followed
by a beach stay there really is so much choice.
Booking with me allows you to turn your holiday dream into a
perfect reality, giving you the benefit of my advice and knowledge
to help you plan that dream experience. Working from
home I’m available when you want me and the Travel Counsellors
financial trust guarantees that the money you spend is
100% safe
I look forward to helping you plan your next trip
Regular Mortgage Reviews Can Save You
Money
We’re constantly told how important it is to shop around for better
deals on our utility bills, but how often do we sit down and work
out whether we could save money on a mortgage? Considering how
frequently buyers – new ones especially – run themselves ragged
with the question ‘How much can I afford to borrow?’ the answer is
often ‘not enough!’
New mortgage deals are coming onto the market all the time, and
while institutions are getting choosier about who they’ll lend to,
interest rates are becoming increasingly competitive, so whether
you’re locked into a fixed rate deal or not, there could be significant
financial savings on offer.
For example, on a £150,000 mortgage, where a 1% saving can be
achieved, your monthly mortgage payment could be reduced by as
much as £125.
Product Fees
Most lenders charge an upfront, one-off product fee when you apply
for a mortgage.
Legal Fees
If you move to a new lender you’ll incur legal costs as you’ll have to
appoint a solicitor to handle things such as valuation surveys and
fund transfers.
Valuation Fees
If you switch, you’ll probably have to pay for a valuation of your
property to be carried out before your potential new provider will
approve your application.
You should review your mortgage when interest rates change, your
current deal is coming to an end and at least once a year to see how
your current deal compares to new ones on the market – ones which
could potentially save you thousands.
Of course, you’re likely to incur a number of charges if you decide to
switch your mortgage, so it’s not quite as straightforward as simply
picking a new one with lower rates. That said, some of the deals
available offer such good value that you could pay any penalties and
still save money on your mortgage.
Nonetheless, take into account the following fees:
Early Repayment Charge
Your lender may apply a penalty for paying your mortgage off early,
usually a percentage of your outstanding balance or a fixed fee.

What’s On In April
Exhibition: Emma Smith presents 5Hz at Arnolfini
Date - 20/03/2015 to 06/04/2015
Artist Emma Smith presents 5Hz – an interactive exhibition that invites audiences to experience a
new human language. The concept of Emma Smith’s work is to imagine an alternative evolution of
voice and create a language that strengthens human connection. 5Hz is the result of a collaborative
research process with psychologist Laurence White (Plymouth University), cognitive neuroscientist
Nina Kazanina, and musicologist Emma Hornby (both University of Bristol). Building on this research,
Emma Smith worked with Laurence White to create a language for the role of social bonding.
Discover what has recently hatched at Bristol Aquarium! Go on an egg hunt and find out about
creatures that lay thousands of eggs and help out creating an egg-cellent wall collage.
Also this Easter, the Bristol Aquarium has a special schedule to offer you a great visit:
Wednesday 1 April:
A very special guest will be making an appearance at the
aquarium today ahead of the Octonauts live Deep Sea
Volcanic Adventure show at Bristol Hippodrome. Don’t miss
out!
The exhibition will introduce audiences to this new vocal
practice through interactive events and installations including
a sound chamber installation where visitors can try the
language themselves, the presentation of the language’s visual
transcription, an interactive sound library and research space, fun
online experiments, and live choral performances. There will also
be a programme of workshops, activities, talks and discussions
that will explore aspects of human voice. The exhibition has been
developed from a series of electroencephalography experiments,
language evolution workshops and public research labs that took
place at Arnolfini in 2014.
Time: 11am - 6pm Tuesday to friday
Free Entrance
Exhibition: Christine Sun Kim at the Arnolfini
Date: 20th March 15 - 5th May 15
Artist Christine Sun Kim has been awarded a residency at Arnolfini as part of a joint commission in
partnership with DASH as part of the IN (Disability Arts IN the Mainstream) project.
Christine Sun Kim is a visual artist who works with concepts around sound and visual language. Deaf
from birth, Kim deals with sound as a medium that can be physically expressive, communicative, and
experienced viscerally. Working across conventions of American Sign Language (ASL), Kim investigates
the identity of her own voice and her associations of sound as a deaf person. She asks audiences to
consider the role that sound and listening have in building an
experience of both inner and outer worlds and the way that
touch can inform listening and language.
A new collection of her drawings, created for the exhibition at
Arnolfini, will be on show in Gallery 5.
During her residency in Bristol, Kim will create a new film
installation work in Arnolfini’s intimate Dark Studio that
explores the themes of language, sound and silence. This will
be the first time that the artist has created a film work of this
size and in a residency setting. The residency and exhibition
will be complimented by a performance lecture with the
artist and a specialist panel discussion, focused on the relationships between language, sound and
listening, followed by an evening showcase of performative works that have been inspired by the
themes discussed.
Thursday 2 April:
Join the team for an Octonauts themed hands-on, action
packed workshop, led by Official Octonauts Officers! Places
Unique Football The Robins
@BTFCTweets
Happy, happy days for The Robins as they have now added the Johnstone’s Paint
Trophy to the trophy cabinet which also looks like Division 1title is also destined to
join.
Bristol City beat League One rivals Walsall to lift the Football League Trophy for a
record third time.
City top their division by 10 points - 37 ahead of the Saddlers - and their quality
told in front of 72,315 fans. Aden Flint opened the scoring with a downward header
in the first half and fellow defender Mark Little poked in a second after the break.
It meant Walsall went home empty handed from their first trip to Wembley, while
City ended a 12-year wait for a trophy. Their last silverware came in the same competition
in 2003 and the Ashton Gate club went some way to banishing the painful
memories of 2008, when they lost to Hull City in the Championship play-off final.
For Walsall, it was their first appearance at the national stadium in their 127-year
history and, although they showed moments of promise, they failed to make it
count.
With only eight games left now for The Robins it is starting to look like by how
many points they will Division 1 rather than if they can hold onto the top position.
With Steve Cotterill motivating the players I think it could well be looking like 100
point total isn’t out of reach.
Here are the remaining games of the Season:
