Music Note Reading Program (For youth in Grades 1‐6)
Register to participate starting May 18 th . Check out books from
the Brillion Public Library and record your reading minutes on
the Library Log. Bring your log along when you visit the Library.
Every 15 minutes of reading will earn you a Music Note. Start
collecting Music Notes in June. The Library Music and Art Store
will open June 8 th . Choose how to spend your Music Notes by
purchasing items from the store or waiving up to $10 in Library
fines from your own account. Tickets to the Renaissance Faire,
The Daniel M Soref Planetarium at the Milwaukee Public Museum and Pizza Hut are available.
Game/Activity programs for youth K‐Grade 6
Participate in a monthly gaming evening
Monday June 29 6‐8 p.m.
Monday, July27 6‐8 p.m.
Monday, Aug 17 6‐8 p.m.
Programs for youth in Grades 3‐6
Participate in a Day Camp July 20‐23 from 1‐4 p.m.
Registration required. Bring along a blank t‐shirt to the camp!
Camp will include a writing/newspaper seminar with Chris Havel;
dance session ; scrapbooking seminar; and music and art sessions.
There will be games, refreshments, and take home crafts. Size is
limited! Register by July 1 st to participate.
Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Reading Program
(For youth in Kindergarten through Grade 5)
Program runs from June 29th until July 24th.
Youth sign up, check out and read Library
books for one hour each week to reach their base.
Receive a prize each week with the prize the 4th week being
a ticket to the Timber Rattlers' Game on Sunday,
August 16 th at 1:05 p.m. Family members can purchase
additional tickets at a cost of $6.50 per ticket for this
special Brillion Game. Minutes read count for the Music Notes
program.

Programs for young adults
(Youth 12 and up)
July 8 2-4 p.m. Henna Body Art with Amy Wilde (registration required- limited to 30 participants)
Learn about henna tattooing, its traditions and uses. Workshop will end with
participants using the henna to draw their own tattoos.
Wii Gaming Compete in a Library Wii championship. Champions will be crowned in the following
Areas: bowling, boxing, Mario Smash Brothers, Guitar Hero, and Mario Kart. A valid
Library card is required to participate. Winners of the completion will participate in a
MCLS System Wii tournament to be held in October
Battle of the Books Be a part of a team of readers who test their knowledge of 8 selected books against
5 other teams from MCLS Libraries. Competition will be on September 9 th at Silver
Lake College. Practices are held throughout the summer. Let us know if you would
like to a be part of this team.
Go on a cello hunt!
Between June 8 th and June 29, a cello poster will grace the windows of area
businesses. Pick up a form at the library and start hunting for cellos. Winners
will be announced at the July 1 st family program.
Solve our Creative Person of the Week
Each week throughout the summer the Library will post a picture of a creative individual. Figure out who
the individual is and receive a Music Note. June will feature artists; July will feature composers; and
August will feature Writers. Clues will be posted around the library.
CREATE ART WITH RECYCLED MATERIALS CONTEST
(Open to youth of all ages)
Youth of all ages are invited to participate in the
“Create art with recycled materials” contest.
Details will be available at the Library in June.
The public will judge the art.

Brillion’s got Talent Contest
Youth of all ages are invited to participate in the Brillion Public
Library’s Talent Contest. Share your talent as an individual or as a
group performing up to 3 minutes worth of time. Talent may consist
of singing, dancing, reciting, acting, or a combination or any other
creative outlet you may possess. Performances will be judged by a
panel of local judges. Please fill out entry form and return by July
27 th . Competition will take place at 1:30 p.m. on August 5th.
