UOAA OVERVIEW
The UO Alumni Association was founded in 1879 and originally served
five alumni. Today it serves more than 155,000 alumni and friends,
including 18,000 dues-paying members. The UOAA helps them stay
connected to the University of Oregon through events such as: pregame
football parties, regional events, special alumni gatherings in
partnership with the UO colleges and departments, class reunions and
homecoming; e-mails and eNewsletters, uoalumni.com, and alumni
services such as career services and travel programs.
The Alumni Association plays an integral role in the success and
viability of the University of Oregon. We fund scholarships for
incoming students and sponsor one of the largest endowed Presidential
Scholarships on campus. We also assist the University’s legislative
advocacy efforts through the Alumni Advocates, a group of alumni
and friends committed to lobbying state legislators on behalf of higher
education and the university.
