On June 1, 2009, defendant Kevin <strong>Howard</strong>, former chief financial officer and vice<br />

p<strong>re</strong>sident of finance for Enron Broadband Services (EBS), ente<strong>re</strong>d a guilty plea to one count of<br />

falsifying Enron's books and <strong>re</strong>cords, in violation of Title 15, United States Code, Sections<br />

78m(b)(2)(A), 78m(b)(5) and 78ff).<br />

Pursuant to the terms of the plea ag<strong>re</strong>ement, <strong>Howard</strong> faces a maximum sentence of<br />

up to twelve months of home detention at sentencing. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for<br />

November 2, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. befo<strong>re</strong> Judge Vanessa D. Gilmo<strong>re</strong> in Courtroom 9A, United<br />

States Courthouse, located at 515 Rusk Avenue, Houston, Texas.<br />
