ANCIENT ITALIAN VARIETALS being saved from EXTINCTION For the past 10 years, a new movement has stirred in Old Italy… The resurrection of indigenous wine varietals that are being replanted and re-introduced to the New World market. TRE BICCHIERI Tre Bicchieri is Italian for 'Three Glasses' and refers to the highest score achievable in the annua Gambero Rosso Italian wine competition. The evaluations are made by a team of thirty tasting panels that judge 25,000 wines and award scores ranging from zero to two glasses.
