ANCIENT ITALIAN VARIETALS
being saved from
EXTINCTION
For the past 10 years, a new movement has stirred in Old Italy…
The resurrection of indigenous wine varietals that are being replanted and re-introduced to the
New World market. This is no easy task; the reasons for the scarcity of these vines are partly
because of their lack of commerical appeal as well as the growers would rather grow varietals
hat have higher financial returns. These pioneers are well-respected for their vision and respect
or their families' heritage. These wines see little to no oak; clean and bright whites with wonderfu
aromatics and lively minerality and dark fruity reds full of spice and earth.
