C19. The spill had a 40 sq. ft. footprint.<br />

Swissport reported a gallon fuel spill of Jet-A at<br />

gate B22. Swissport fueler, Anthony Marh<br />

stated the nozzle clamp on the hose of pump<br />

truck 1278 came loose while fueling US<br />

Airways aircraft N820AW an Airbus 319.<br />

Fuel flowed from the left wing overflow vent.<br />

Then fuel spilled from left wing valve due to<br />

faulty auto shutoff valve.<br />

Small fuel spill occurred at the Cutter Aviation<br />

Apron.<br />

5 Gallons report of a fuel spill but is unknown how much.<br />

Operations and Maintenance<br />

responded. Spill was contained.<br />

The fuel spill was compounded by<br />

SWA mechanics changing a tire on<br />

the left main gear & gravity doing what<br />

gravity does (SWA rep: Kevin<br />

Bowman). No storm drain impact.<br />

Supervisor Norberto Perez Amaya<br />

assisted in clean up. They advised 9<br />

pigs used for clean up.<br />

Battalion 19 responded. Spill<br />

contained and cleaned by Southwest<br />

and Swissport. Fuel spill bill<br />

completed by O-317.<br />

Operations responded and Cutter<br />

contained and cleaned the spill.<br />

Fire and Operations responded. Per<br />

Os 322 the leak has stopped and was<br />

about 4 or 5 gallons. Swissport<br />

handling the cleanup and there were<br />

no storm drains affected.<br />

15 x 8 ft fuel spill at the Swissport maintenance<br />

shop west of gate 215P. Spill from truck engine O-317 responded, no fire was needed.<br />

fuel tank, no the defueling tank.<br />

O-325 responded. Spill cleaned up by<br />

Swissport.<br />

O-340, and Facilities and Services<br />

responded. Spill was contained.<br />
