Rubber removal machine # 935024 had a<br />

hydraulic hose burst while working on runway 8-<br />

26 near Bravo 4 intersection,<br />

the runway. It never made contact<br />

with any other surfaces, soil and no<br />

Early Monday morning July 8, 2013 the large<br />

striper (Eq, No. 528003) spilled approximately<br />

100 gallons of yellow paint at the Facilities yard<br />

near the airfield maintenance washrack. The<br />

cause was a 2" hose that loosened from the<br />

pipe fitting, likely due to a faulty clamp.<br />

Fire and Operations responded. Per<br />

Os 314 is actually less than one<br />

gallon and is being cleaned up by<br />

Swissport. No storm drains affected.<br />

O-310 responded and Southwest<br />

cleaned the spill.<br />

F3 and X651 responded. Swissport<br />

conducted clean up.<br />

F3 and Operations responded for a jet<br />

fuel spill. Per O-312, the fuel spill was<br />

fully contained and cleaned up.<br />

F3 and Operations responded for a jet<br />

Fire and O-314 responded. Southwest<br />

cleaned the spill.<br />

Fleet has replaced the faulty clamps<br />

with heavier clamps that are more<br />

appropriate for the hoses. Absorbent<br />

was applied and material was dump<br />

into the used absorbent bin.<br />
