ABOUT JAGRAON<br />

Jagraon is situated in the most developed district i.e Ludhiana in <strong>Punjab</strong>. Jagraon is an important<br />

religious center for Sikhs, Hindus, Muslims as well as Jains. The religious places to visit in the city include<br />

Gurudwara Nanaksar Sahib <strong>and</strong> Gurudwara Mehdiana Sahib which is known for its unique depiction of<br />

scenes from Sikh history. The Muslim places of worship include the famous 'Khan gah' <strong>and</strong> the<br />

mausoleum of Mai Jeena, where a three day annual fair, called 'Roshni Mela' is held every spring. The Jain<br />

temple in Jagraon is considered as one of the most holy places for Jains in the region. Jagraon is also the<br />

home of Late Lala Lajpat Rai, a well-known figure in the Indian Independence movement. It is the third<br />

largest Grain collection Market of Asia after Khanna & Rajpura.<br />
