– Running smooth. Please observe no
children in the galley.
Pool Report – Pete Zanowic – Chairperson
- Hours are 11 am – 8 pm June 20
– September 7, 2009. The club purchased
new furniture and it was delivered (five
club chairs and five chaise lounge chairs).
A team of volunteers Ed, Pat Maritz, Rich
Robinson and Brenda Feniello assisted
with the club’s older swim lane lines –
yellow poly line was installed and knots
were added to the line so the floats stay in
place. The inside of the pool house has
been painted. The pool committee is trying
to keep the pool neat. Please make
sure that you take home everything that
you bring each day. I washed, dried and
folded two loads of “lost and found” laundry
July 7, 2009 at home. The “lost and
found” laundry was brought back to the
club July 8, 2009 and given to Odette
Kardek. Check with Odette if you are
missing towels or clothing.
Observe the recycling garbage
July has been great for sailing. Hopefully
August will be the same. Our second
auxiliary series has started and has
been well attended. The racing has been
exciting and close. I would like to thank
all those who have participated thus far.
As I spend more and more time at the
Club,it becomes more apparent how busy
our Club really is. There isn’t one night
that something is not happening. If you

Hoist – Jim Carson – Chairperson -
The club has the motor from davit # 1 at
Lakewood Electric for repair. A team of
volunteers (Chris Hall, Brian Schmidt,
Keith Taboada, Ryan Stagaard, and Jim
Carson) assisted with taking the motor
down and replacing it with a back up
motor dated 1973. The 1973 motor is
noisy but serves the purpose.
Parking - Two new Handicapped Parking
signs/spaces were added next to the
new Opti Racks. Please observe children
on property, drive slowly and park in
designated parking spots.
Bar Closet – Brian Schmidt recommended
having the stereo accessible
from the bar area. He and Adam (coworker)
spent a day building a box shelf
for the stereo/DVD equipment inside the
closet that you can access from behind

great place to spend time with friends
and maybe even make new ones.
My job this year includes many
things. Slips (wet and dry) club boat
maintenance, patrols, etc. We have sail
boat racing on Tuesday nights, Wednesday
nights, Thursday nights and Sunday
afternoons. Most of these nights need
patrol. I am asking all new members to
the Penquin sail boat painting near the
Raven picture. The bar closet is now
functional with added shelves.
Telephones – The Club has switched
from Verizon to Comcast for our telephone,
fax, internet and HD TV. Phones -
You may dial out 911 only, but the
phones do accept incoming calls.
Elevator – the elevator is for handicapped
members. Please do not play with
the elevator.
Flag Pole – Thanks to Sandy Holick,
Claudia and Caroline Jacobs for volunteering
to weed the Club’s flower bed
around the flag pole.
Crab Traps -Please do not set crab traps
at the dock. Power boats and sail boats
can become tangled in the line.
Al Bogdziewicz is working with
Mark Haupt and Kevin Bogert to keep our
club pristine.

been provided a list of all those who said
that they are interested in volunteering for
this. You can give a call or sign up on the
patrol board at the Club.
I would like to thank all of those people
who have already volunteered their
time. The Club would not run without
them. If you are at the Club, give them
some thanks. It will go a long way…..
