Welcome to the RheinEnergie Marathon in Bonn The RheinEnergie Marathon, with an official distance of 42,195 km, will let you enjoy the most beautifull places of Bonn. You will pass museums, impressive churches, and you will run along the large “Rhein” river. We hope to see you next year at the jubilee marathon in Bonn. Course The course consists of one round for halfmarathon and two rounds for marathon. At half marathon distance skaters, handbikers and walkers can start also. The course will be even and asphaltic. Subsistence You will find six supply-stations along the road, where you may get drinks and something to eat. Because the course takes two rounds you will pass twelve stations during the Marathon. There will be: - Bananas - Water - Tee - Coca-Cola - Carbo4u You may also depose your own supply at each station. At the end of the course there will be a subsistence village with fruits, bread, snags, broth etc. Starting time The half marathon for handbikers will start at 8:15 a.m. The half marathon for skaters will start at 8:20 a.m. The half marathon will start at 8:30 a.m. The marathon will start at 10:30 a.m. After run party There will also be an after run party at the Münsterplatz from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Each participant will be offered two drinks and a hot meal. Start/finish zone/wardrobe You will start at an old historic gate, the “Koblenzer Tor”. You will also find a toilet and a dressing zone there, which will be open from 7:00 a.m. When you collect your starting documents, you will receive a bag for your clothes and your starting number. The finish for all disciplines will be at market place right in the city center of Bonn, where you may change your clothes, take a shower, get a massage or go swimming. New: marathon relais At this new discipline at the Bonn marathon four runners will run above the marathon distance. So each runner covers the distance of 8,8-12,195 km.
