The <strong>Honorable</strong> <strong>Ann</strong> <strong>Aiken</strong> became the Chief <strong>Judge</strong> of the <strong>District</strong> <strong>Court</strong> of <strong>Oregon</strong> on February<br />

1, 2009. Chief <strong>Judge</strong> <strong>Aiken</strong> divides her time between the Eugene and Portland <strong>Court</strong>houses.<br />

Prior to assuming the role of Chief <strong>Judge</strong>, she launched the <strong>District</strong> of <strong>Oregon</strong>'s Reentry <strong>Court</strong>,<br />

a pilot program for drug offenders, in partnership with U.S. Probation, the U.S. Attorney's office,<br />

the Federal Defender's office, private and non-profit community organizations, and others.<br />
