Have you ever felt unsure of yourself in social situations? Are you concerned about how to address people or how to<br />

propose a toast? Where to seat your VIP or even which fork to use? Although having proper protocol <strong>and</strong> etiquette may<br />

go by unnoticed, its absence will be duly noted.<br />

You will learn how to h<strong>and</strong>le social situations with grace <strong>and</strong> ease. You will also experience <strong>and</strong> learn the art of dining<br />

etiquette, in a real restaurant setting. You will learn how to h<strong>and</strong>le all types of crockery <strong>and</strong> cutlery at casual <strong>and</strong> formal<br />

gatherings <strong>and</strong> experience special foods without embarrassment. Whether you are in charge of a social occasion or<br />

attending one, you can be a gracious host <strong>and</strong> appreciative guest!<br />

By the end of this course, you will be able to apply the<br />

skills <strong>and</strong> techniques learnt to project a confident <strong>and</strong><br />

professional image through proper social <strong>and</strong> dining<br />

- Invitations <strong>and</strong> RSVP<br />

- Punctuality<br />

- Seating arrangements<br />

• <strong>Dining</strong> etiquette<br />

- Napkin etiquette<br />

- Techniques to h<strong>and</strong>ling “difficult food”<br />

- Guests <strong>and</strong> food preferences<br />

- Conversation<br />

- Expressing gratitude after the meal<br />

- The correct attire to match invitations<br />

Who Should Attend<br />

You are a Div 1 – 3 officer who wants to learn how to<br />

h<strong>and</strong>le social situations with grace <strong>and</strong> ease.<br />

8 hours<br />

Fee<br />

$406.60 per participant (including 7% GST $26.60).<br />

Fee includes teabreaks <strong>and</strong> lunch. Absentees will be<br />

charged the full fee.<br />
