TGIS: Thank G‐d It’s Shabbat! Youth services will take<br />

place this morning from 10:30am ‐ noon. Babysitting<br />

services (JK & SK) is in the Staff Room, Beginyan (Grade<br />

1‐3) and Allstars (Grade 4‐7) will meet in the Chapel and<br />

then break off into groups following tefillah. For more<br />

Decorate the Sukkah: Join us on Sunday <strong>September</strong><br />

30 th from 3:30pm ‐ 5:30pm. This year’s theme is<br />

MISHPACH‐HUT BETH TIKVAH. We are looking forward<br />

to acknowledging all of our BT families by highlighting<br />

YOU in this year’s Sukkah. Contribute a panel depicting<br />

your family and make this year’s Sukkah spectacular!<br />

Let’s Celebrate Shemini Atzeret and Simhat Torah: The<br />

celebration begins October 8 th with singing & dancing<br />

and a dairy dessert buffet following evening services<br />

which begins at 6:49pm. The celebration continues<br />

October 9 th with the Terrific Torah Trail Scavenger Hunt,<br />

Tot’s Trial for little ones and their parents, singing &<br />

dancing, edible crafts, story‐time and more! Everyone is<br />

invited to lunch following services. Youth Programs will<br />

begin at 10:30am in the Lower Foyer.<br />

YF Shabbat Service: Join us from 10:30am – noon in the<br />

Chapel on Shabbat October 27 th . Led by Sigal with<br />

interactive tefillah, activities and fun for the entire<br />

family. Special reserved tables will be available at the<br />

Congregational Kiddush following services. For more<br />

Save the date! Friday November 9 th for another<br />

incredible Blue Jean Shabbat! Lots of surprises in store<br />

as we honour our Veterans in true BT style. For more<br />

Men’s Floor Hockey: If you are 18+ and would like an<br />

opportunity to meet other Beth Tikvah men, get some<br />

exercise and have a great time; then why not join the BT<br />

Men’s Floor Hockey team? Thursday evenings beginning<br />

October 4 th from 8:30am – 10:00pm in the synagogue<br />

gym (lower level beside the Assembly Hall) is the place to<br />

BT Blazers/Halutzim (Grades 1‐4): Exciting monthly programs<br />

with tons of fun for everyone led by our Youth Coordinator<br />

Danielle Shoychet. Join us on Sunday October <strong>28</strong> th from 2‐<br />

4pm for Bowling at Newtonbrook Bowlerama, 5837 Yonge<br />

Street in North York. Cost $15 for members, $20 for nonmembers.<br />

Kadima (Grades 5‐8): Whether it's a ski trip, limo excursion or<br />

Sukkah hop, Beth Tikvah Kadima is a great place to hang out,<br />

have some fun and maybe even learn a little something too.<br />

With awesome monthly programming led by our Youth<br />

Coordinator, Danielle Shoychet, Kadima is the place to be!<br />

Join us motzei Shabbat, October 6 th , from 8:30pm‐11:00pm for<br />

a limo Sukkah Hop. Trip leaves and returns to Beth Tikvah.<br />

Cost: $20 for members, $25 for non‐members. Application<br />

forms are available on the website. Please reserve by<br />

BTY (Grades 9‐12): Nobody does it better‐ BT Youth is the best<br />

with exciting programs, led by our Youth Coordinator Danielle<br />

Shoychet, throughout the year. Working closely with our teen<br />

board, we aim to provide excellent opportunities for<br />

leadership development, informal education and tons of fun<br />

for all! If you want to get involved, contact Sigal and stay<br />

tuned for program information after the High Holidays.<br />

TIKVAH TOTS<br />

NOVEMBER 11 th – DECEMBER 16 th , 9:30am – 11am<br />

Six session series on Sunday mornings for kids ages 1‐3. Sing<br />

Hebrew songs with Tibi, big toys and more! Play and crafts led<br />

by Karmela Klasner and Monica Nemani. Ages 4‐6 also enjoy<br />

sports and games with Tibi. Members $60/series; $15 session.<br />

Non‐Members $70, $17 session. Light brunch will be served at<br />

the conclusion of each session. Call Helen to reserve by<br />

November 2 nd at 416‐221‐3433.<br />

Roll Up Your Sleeves and Do a MITZVAH! The need is<br />

great and we hope we can count on your support at the<br />

Ruth Goldberg Kosher Food Drive on Sunday November<br />

18 th . Callers, drivers, sorters and donations are needed.<br />
