TGIS: Thank G‐d It’s Shabbat! Youth Services will take
place this morning from 10:30am – noon. Babysitting (JK
& SK) is in the Youth Room, Beginyan (Grade 1‐3) and
Allstars (Grade (4‐7) are invited to join the YF Service
taking place this morning in the chapel.
Tikvah Tots Spring Series Has Begun: For kids (ages 1‐3)
and their families. It is not too late to join us for the
series with sessions running Sunday, April 21 st ‐ May
12 th . Sing Hebrew songs with Tibi, big toys, crafts and
more! Play and crafts led by Karmela Klasner and
Monica Nemani. Contact the synagogue office to
register.
Young Family Shabbat Service is taking place this
morning from 10:30am – noon in the Chapel. Special
reserved tables will be available at the Congregational
Kiddush following services. This will be the last YF
Shabbat Service Program for this program year. Shabbat
Shalom to all.
BT Blazers/Halutzim: if you are in grades 1‐4, save the
date and mark your calendars for our Trampoline
Program at the NEW Skyzone Toronto on Sunday, May
12 th . Stay tuned for more information coming your way
soon.
Kadima: If you are in grades 5 ‐8 save the date and mark
your calendars for The Amazing Race Limo Scavenger
Hunt on Sunday, May 5 th . We are happy to invite our
Halutzim Seniors (grade 4 only) to participate in this
event. Stay tuned for more information coming your
way soon.
BTY: Do you need community service hours? Want to
do a mitzvah? Join us for the Midnight Run on Saturday
Night taking place tonight from 9:30pm – around
1:30am. Trip leaves from and returns to BT. Participate
for FREE with a Kosher non‐perishable food donation.
Help us deliver food to Toronto’s homeless with a stop at
“Just Desserts” on the way back. Security will be
provided. This event is open to Kadima Seniors (grade 8
only). Note: completed waivers which are available on
the BT website are required in order to participate.

Tikkun Leil Shavuot ‐ 2013
On Tuesday, May 14 th , Erev Shavuot, Beth Tikvah will be
hosting a moderated panel discussion with some of the
community's leading educators, and experts in the field
on the challenges of Jewish Education in Toronto.
Dinner will be served at 9:00pm (reservations required),
followed by the Keynote Discussion at 10:00pm. The
Overnight study session with Rabbi Markose will follow,
beginning at midnight, examining Teshuvot (Responsa)
from the Orthodox, Conservative and Reform
Movements, on the subjects of Abortion, Smoking, and
Jewish Attire. More details to follow.
Calling all Youth Grades 6‐12: Save the date and join us for
JServe where you can participate with thousands of teens
across the world for the Global Day of Youth Service.
Sunday, April 28 th from 11:30am‐5:00pm at the CHAT
Wallenberg Campus you can take your pick of a variety of
community service projects across the city of Toronto.
Earn five hours of community service and help make the
world a better place. Open to kids in Grade 6‐12. For more
information, including a list of available projects or to
register please visit the Jserve website at: www.jserve.ca.

Let’s Celebrate Lag Ba’Omer: Sunday, April 28 th , join us
for a fun filled evening featuring a synagogue‐wide BBQ
picnic dinner served at 6:00pm, sports, relay races, card
games, sing‐a‐long and more! The event will take place in
the Kovari backyard and at Silverview Park behind the
house. Cost: Members $10/person, Non‐Members
$15/person, Kids 1 and Under FREE. Contact the
synagogue office by April 22 nd to RSVP. Festivities will be
moved to BT in the event of rain. Can’t wait to see you
there!
BAR/BAT MITZVAH PROGRAM: This program was
launched to supplement regular lessons for 2013 Bnei
Mitzvah, and to engage them in synagogue life and Jewish
topics. Bi‐monthly on Shabbat mornings (April 27 th ). From
10:45am – 11:45am with the Rabbis, Cantor, Irv
Kirshenblat or Sigal Tuch, who have prepared a special
program for each session. This program will help better
prepare our Bnei Mitzvah, and to make them feel a part of
our community.

URI URI – AWAKE GREET THE DAWN is the theme for the
International Northeast Region (INR) of Women’s League
for Conservative Judaism’s Spring Conference being held at
Beth Tikvah this Sunday and Monday. We welcome Aliza
Goland (from California), our International Conference
Consultant, to services this morning. Through workshops,
discussions, t’fillot and networking, women from
Conservative sisterhoods in Ontario, Quebec and northern
New York State will gain knowledge and skills to help them
strengthen their own sisterhoods and themselves. We are
so proud of Fran Caine who is completing her two‐year
term as President of our region. Ya’asher Kochacheich for
your dedication and commitment in serving our region.
